This trick works 100%. For Vaporeon nickname him Rainer, for Flareon nickname Pyro, and for Jolteon nickname him Sparky. Make sure you exit out of the app after re-naming it, then evolve!

+Nadeshot Apparently there is way to get the Eevee evolution you want and that is through name changing before you evolve Eevee: Pyro = Flareon Rainer = Vaporeon Sparky = Jolteon I've tried it with 2 Eevee's and so far it has worked both times, and people on the Pokemon Go reddit page can confirm as well. Also for those wondering, these names come from the original Pokemon anime, referring to the names of the Eevee Brothers

You can choose which Eevee-lution you want by giving it a certain nickname. Flareon - Pyro Vaporeon - Rainer Jolteon - Sparky This happens to be a throwback to an episode in the original anime where Ash meets 3 guys who each have 1 of the evolutions. This method isn't 100% confirmed but as of yet the results have been incredibly reliable. Hope this helps everyone out there! :D

Ive hear some theories evolving around the type of attack the evee has. Also: There is one more theory saying that its all about the location you either catch the evee or evolve it. So if you evolve your evee near a place where there are a lot of electricity, you can get a Joltion (city centres/urban). vaporeon = near water - Flareon - Dessert etc

In the cartoon there are the eevee brothers called Pyro, Sparky, and Rainer. you can actually control your eeveelution by naming your eevee to that desired brother. Pyro had a Flareon, Rainer had a Vaporeon, and Sparky had a Jolteon! Saves you from having too many of the same Pokémon!

Hey bro! It's nick from Argentina! I know what you need to do to get the different Eevee evolutions, you got to name the eve as the eevee brothers name, depend on wich evolution you want... i have also evolved a bunch of eevee's and notice its by weight. The lightest eevee is 5kg and under and should turn into a F, a regular is 6kg should turn into a J, and 7kg and above should turn into a V. After looking at the video and your eevee evolutions it helped confirm the theory

I don't understand how candy works. Do you get those 20 something candys when you catch a pokemon or is the pokemon just holding it and when you transfer it the candy are gone? For example at 4:12 you had 50 venonat candies but if you transferred the pokemon would the candy be gone or would you still have the candies? Also, what's the point levelling up pokemon if you will just get a higher cp version anyway?I'm a bit confused because with normal pokemon it was level 1-100 but they all end up in the same place but with this the maximum CP for one pokemon isn't necessarily the same for another. For example if I had a 122 CP Pidgey then got one later that has 150 CP the last one would have a higher final level

you can use a very helpful thing for evolving Eevee. If you find a, video for the names because I can't remember them but if you name the Eevee a specific name for each evolution (Jolteon, Vaporeon and Flareon) then evolve it they will evolve into that one. you will need to research the name for each though, this also only works once for each evolution

I think if your Eevee have Discharge or something similar as its power moves, there's a high chance it will be a Jolteon. :) The first Eevee I evolved turned out to be a Jolteon. :) I think if the move is Swift, it will most likely be a Vaporeon.
