He was winning so much from the beginning he was able to screw around with bat riders get 3 bases and be ahead on gold income for the whole game and still lose because having fun getting hardly any value out of bat riders and enemy hero levels eventually got fed with a demon hunter and panda.

Props to this Elf. Having been on both sides of this type of playstyle, I can say it's a very difficult and frustrating style to play against, but he kept his cool and didn't allow Grubby any advantages. Sick game!

@@gwynbleidd10 Just not true in my experience. Playing against raider hit-and-run is very unforgiving for the Elf player. Any units that are mispositioned are ensnared and killed off, being on the map at the wrong time means you lose your moon wells or tree... You have to be very on top of unit positioning as well as map movement You also have to be on top of scouting and army splitting, because if the Orc gets towers up at their expansion, it makes your life 10X harder, but if you split your army improperly to deal with it, you will lose half your army, or your main base There are a ton of things that can go wrong, but he avoided them well. To say he played perfectly would obviously be hyperbolic, but it's still impressive to see Grubby get outplayed in a style he is so well-known for

Sheesh. Blizzard needs to look at this replay and then say with a straight face NE isn't Busted. Grubby may not be 'Best of the best' anymore, sure, but math doesn't lie. Free healing vs paid, cancellable healing. Orb of Ven vs Orb of lightning, and so forth.

Honestly, I love the Grubster and I've been watching him for years and I've been a sub for years. I have started playing wc3 again, bought a PC and even started playing dota 2 again for the first time after 2016 and a lot more dota beforehands(All because I've watched him and started feeling the dopamine rush to play :D) . I am a 50%er on 1on1 and 65% WR on 4on4 so I do have a lot of experience with wc3 in the past 15 years. BUT.... Having said that, I do think that his form isnt close towhat it has been in the past 5 years (with its ups and downs) and a certain % of the current loses are due to worse micro and/or decision making that from the thousands of games I've seen him play, I think he would've won if this game was played 1-2-3 years ago just with his form back then while he was tryharding 20+ games per day even thorugh the times where he only tryharded orc on Saturdays and had different races for each day of the week. I like him so much and I trust him so much when it comes to gaming decisions that I generally never question what he's saying regarding meta etc, but it feels that even though I think orc is not doing so well recently against other races was indeed underpowered for some time, there's also the other side of it which is form, micro, decision making, start etc. I'd love to see more wc3 and him enjoying it, because now it feels like he's only doing it as a "thanks" to the wc3 community that still supports him and I feel like he's not enjoying it as much as he did a few years ago, which is really sad. P.S. I dont mind if Im wrong and NE is just really OP and that he really enjoys wc3 at the moment. It just doesnt feel like it on my end from watching every single vid in the past 10 months + lots of the streams. :) P.S 2. - Zug-Zug

sorry grubster this one is on you, a failure to adapt and transition to the ultimate orc end game army(bloodlusted tauren + doctor) in an giga late game situation, which is what an orc commander should always work towords eventually in a game. Choosing walker without making tauren, not getting infintie free heal that is master doctor, you choose to loose to the infinite healing that is moon well by ratting. Why not MF more for potentially a pipe/mask drop? why go balls deep with mass batrider against NE?

As I can see, one of the major problems when you try to avoid fair fight is absence of vision. Why not to make 1-2 witch doctors? Wouldn't this be cheaper than remake of all dead units (who died because elf was too close)?

With orc is all about momentum and timings. He needed units to push as early as possible and then expo as fast as possible. Getting docs would mean 4th unit production building on t2. As you can see, he was constantly low on gold and wood thorughout the whole game. Also, he skilled farsight & wolves + he had air at mid game. Also, pressure was so high during the whole game that half the map remained uncrept which is very unnatural for a 40 minute game. He knew where NE was throughout the whole game so docs wouldnt've changed much. Also, keep in mind he had really, really, really bad start and he lost 30 worth of food trying to get his main base which allowed a lot higher levels for NE. So, even though vision is crucial, it wasnt that much of a difference this game.

It was all about momentum and timings - first 10-15 min. Then It was all about coming to elf base when elf is far away from there. Why was Grubby spending money on army? Because his units were dying. And does it matter how many bats Grubby had, if single Panda fend them off so easily? More bats - more deaths and more exp for enemy, if Panda get them. Did Panda get them? Oh, he did. Despite all wolves and farsight. So, being low on gold doesn't mean that gold was spent efficiently. I rewatched the game - well... yeah. This particular time problem was not the vision, but the strategy. With that unit choice nothing could be done with elf's heroes, so they did whatever they wanted. Panda killed all bats in defence, Demon and Keeper had their fun at Grubby's expand or wherever else. Which doesn't mean that witch doctors weren't worthy. Wolfs could have been used in creeping. Less wolfs micro - more micro somewhere else. Like, retreat in time with the bats (for which info about exact Panda location is crucial). @@ross1158

It's ridiculous that even with a cheese T2 build being left unanswered. Orc STILL has to play perfectly or they just get outscaled and lose. My only suggestion is that maybe Grubby should have teched to T3 and went for Taurens/Walkers earlier. But I don't even know if that would have worked. Just play perfectly lmao! :^))

@@shocker_faceno just 1-2 Raiders behind the army and 1-2 sw to dispel. However I dont think that bats is the best stratetegy. Hipps and Heroes just destroy them. Super hard to Micro and super easy to defend for NE. I think mass Raiders is the better approach. Grubby was quite ahead. Maybe hitman Style with Tauren Demos is better. Bats cost so much and never really created positive Investment

Yeah, he already had 1-2 walkers to help save his heroes from cyclone/entangle. I think I remember a few opportunities ensnare would have been great to catch a hero despite staff. I enjoyed the bat switch, but toward the end NE was pretty locked in on how to defend.

Night Elf gameplay aka get 2-3 heroes, orb of ven on all of them, and staff. Just keep rotating to moonwell for hp and mana. And keep attacking till the opponent who has units and heroes runs out of gold healing it all, and loses.

Grubby played like a 1400mmr orc , donated dozens of bats and raiders to kill one expo, but somehow elf is broken and orb is OP. Loved to watch it. Played like a RAT, got rekt and got salty and cried. Pretends to be Mr Nice Guy and behaves arrogantly as though he is a smart guy, but plays the easiest race at below pro level amd thinks he can talk balance. Go play Dota, Grubby. Maybe we just need to delete orb of venom, staff of teleportation, moonwell, and demon hunter. Oh let's also make speed scroll permanent, ensnare 0 cool down, orb of lightning purge 100%, spike return 100% damage, and critical strike deals 10 times damage, after that orc might stand a chance against night elf

In all honesty increase staff cooldown, it’s up far too often, increase shop cooldown on moonstone, way too much healing combined with wellspring for the price. Orb of venom needs a small nerf on the dps and on the move speed reduction. Orc should also have a more cost efficient late game healing option besides witch doctors. Easy fix is to give salve 4-6 charges when bought from a shop at tier 3

What strat should he play? Butt heads with the NE player and get demolished because moonwell? Creep early and get massively outscaled? I don't think NE are necessarily OP but the matchup is heavily lopsided and it's frustrating queuing into it over and over. You can't play a traditional strat in the MU.

Completely off-topic, but Pala/Riflemen is *completely* broken against Orc. How do you beat this? Answer: you don't. The only way I can see is to somehow get an expansion and get mass taurens with spirit link AND bloodlust, which is impossible to do since Human can militia creep/expand while Orc expo takes the longest. Trying to use lusted grunts don't work because the DPS is too low. Riflemen now have 9+ armor with Devotion aura and inner fire. They are *unkillable* .You would need taurens + shams + walkers to kill those things. Their damage is also insane, so unless you spirit ling the taurens they will all die to focused fire. To beat these ultra-tanky beasts you need taurens with lightening shields *and* spirit link *and* bloodlust to overcome the absurd armor. And on top of that that is Holy Light. Like wtf? How the hell you beat these things? Grubby, my King, what can I do? I am literally 0-8 against this Pala/rifle in new patch. Please help oput man.

You do understand that kodos have to actually digest the unit which takes a long time, and the Human can simply focus fire on the kodo, kill it, level hero and the rifleman is free. Tauren? Tauren is a tier 3 unit that costs a fortune and is easily slowed by sorceress and killed by focus fire.. Why do you noobs such as you reply to my comments?
