Honestly it’s no contest that Clint Eastwood won both rounds without any real difficulty, yes it’s true that his lines were racist but as long as they’re not overt lies or inaccurate in its depiction, savage is savage and still counts even if it’s racist.

It's a rap battle, nothing is off limits and nothing is too far. Like someone else said, savage is savage, that's how rap battles are won. You're not winning by holding anything back or showing your opponent any kind of respect. You don't have to like it, but you do have to be fair if you're going to judge something. Racist lines included. It's about the punches, and how disrespectful and hard hitting they can come. They aren't making a song for the radio or trying to top the charts, they're insulting each other and seeing who can dish it out worse.

Nah Clint Eastwood got it. His lines hit harder and his flows were still good. Nothing Bruce said came hit anyone near as hard or as insulting. Like, what was he elevating? He sounded like he was having fun but he has no bars. He has a better flow but flow only gets you so far when the battle is about punches, and Clint had some punches.

Sorry guys but ya gotta understand, Rap Battles can really go for the gullet and are absolutely ruthless sometimes. Like the racist undertones were right there and some rappers would go straight for that if they had the opportunity it's sad to say, but that's one of the more darker parts of the rap battle scene. Shit can be real heated man. Clint Eastwood went straight for the heated lines and served em right to Lee and Lee went for a Yo Mama joke. It was easy to tell who won right then and there. Especially once Lee's family was brought up.

Found your channel and i gotta say, you make an excellent pair because you don't pause the video every 10 seconds and show off your knowledge about the references and things.(those videos make the reaction video about 30 or 40 minutes long which is too long I prefer your style a lot, and both of you were superb. I also liked the John Mcclain vs John Wick vs John Rambo one, but this one in particular with Clint and Bruce is my favourite, i liked how they made clint eastwood's voice so weak and raspy like he is in his movies, this is my favourite ERB video, probably and i loved both of your reactions, both of you were so fun in this! It's actually crazy how this ERB video got me interested in Bruce lee movies, I've only seen a bit of "Enter the dragon" and not even all of it, so i know next to nothing about Bruce, but I know a lot about Clint Eastwood. I think clint won, he was so rude and his last line was just a shock! But bruce lee's flow and general performance was excellent. Honestly in a rap battle it's about Who can dis the other person better. Bruce Lee should have gone more in on how his political beliefs Because old jokes are a dim a dozen . When Clint Eastwood was able to make way more direct attacks at the actual person that cannot be used with anybody else. Yeah the Chinese jokes are easy. And that's why he probably lost the 1st round. But without directly all all the other stuff was in the 2nd round about Bruce Lee especially with the aspirin and His family not being able see a sequel. Those jokes are all over ERB and hit at least a bunch of the white guys as well? You're the one assuming racial undertones there instead of taking the joke as a common male insult to each other. I didn't think I had Asian blood either but I grew up playing Chinese checkers as it was and I would think still is a very common game that fits in with his rhyme scheme and the flow. Bonus points for the nationality. And you think using good bad and ugly is clever but Eastwood using one of his most famous lines "Go ahead. Make my (day) IPod." isn't when it's doing the same thing? And then you talk about energy elsewhere, yet both are portraying how they are in the movies, with Lee jumping around everywhere like he drank 10 pots of coffee and Eastwood being very similar to a lot of his western roles, silent but deadly when needed. As for the chair line, it was low hanging fruit since most of the media and the two left coasts panned it at the time. But it would have been tough for Eastwood to put an empty suit on stage so the chair was a decent substitute. I can just tell y'all are gonna love Jefferson/Douglas and Jenner/Banner.

It’s not that we thought it “wasn’t okay” to do the racist jokes. But that they were generic and not clever. The Brandon Lee dig was specific to Bruce Lee. Doesn’t mean it is acceptable, none of this would be something to say to someone in real life. But that line at least had some originality. Asian people have small penises isn’t original so we didn’t find it funny, now that’s not to say that joke can’t be funny. South Park did a clever bit with Chinese government saying there penis is so small and that Americans have great big penis so that it would distract them from their ulterior motives. That can be considered racist, but it was a clever joke that has more behind it. It wasn’t about being offended by the racist jokes so much as it was just lazy digs. Hope this clears up that perspective 🤗

Bruce also used very generic "you're ugly" jokes as well. I just think the one real racial line biased you. Because... it's a battle, so insults are the name of the game. Looking at just the first verse, for example, Bruce just bragged. These were the disses in that verse: Bruce: Your movies bore us and are slow, and Kung F-U Clint: scream like a girl, moves like Jagger, pu pu platter, called him Ringo (haircut insult), voice to lips, sweatshop to ipod), fighting is dancing, squint better than you. I don't think most of the rascist jokes are the lowest common denominator. Usually they are but these ones have foundations to them. Remove the racist remarks and you still get really good hits. They insult his fighting, editing, and voice. While Bruce Lee had weak lines. Being ugly because of your mom sounds like one of those disses you say when you can't think of anything. He had 2 insults which were he had slow movies and that he was crazy. Clint Eastwood won.

Like you say it's about variety but technically if hes talking about the dude's age and having dementia then that's a low dominator to talk about disable and old people. The good the bad you must be the ugly. I’d mess up your face but your mamma did it for me. This is clever because it brings in his iconic movie the good the bad and the ugly. Hyped Bruce up while also putting Clint down. Then he said that he didn’t even need to mess up his face because he was born ugly. So the line was still specific to Clint because of the movie brought in. Yes it’s just a your ugly line, but done in a clever way. The chair part at the end was again specific towards Clint Eastwood. Bringing out a chair at the republican convention acting like he was talking to Obama. It wasn’t Clint having dementia. It was something specific that he had done and then Bruce saying you’re more fit to rap against this chair was a nice touch as well. Chinese checkers. Small Asian penis. It’s not that Clint’s lines were just racist. We laugh at South Park that has racist jokes in it. It’s more so that we didn’t feel like it was clever. And we said the aspirin line and his last line were the best. And if people want to give him the win because of that we wouldn’t have a problem. In the end it’s all an opinion. Ours is no more valid than yours and vice versa.
