This is what I missed…your walks through nature. I drove from Pacific Grove, Ca. to Columbia, Md this past December and thought of you and Olive when we visited the Parks along the way. Definitely enjoyed the cool winter temperatures, I’m 72 and the heat isn’t my friend. Thanks for the awesome views, glad you found plenty of shade.

Since you like to hike up mountains.... have you seen Foresty Forest's KZbin channel? He lives in van that he converted himself, hikes up mostly Canadian mountains but this year went to the U.S. Southwest mountains. Recently acquired a puppy. He shoots beautiful videos just like you. Seeing you and Olive again makes me so HAPPY! I was just watching y’all in Monument Valley and on Crystal hill. My favorite was Ausia playing dress up with Olive! She’s such a happy dog and I am so very glad you stuck it out with her!!! When you got her on the trial basis I was afraid you weren’t gonna keep her. So glad you did! Love you!♥️

Nice having a bit of shade under the trees in the hike. Glad to see u again. I cannot hike like I used too. But u give me all day and I'll eventually get there. I recently bought a backpack made with a stool in it. Was looking forward to using it. But fell and now I'm in a boot for the next 2 months. At least that will give the weather time to heat up and start to cool down before I'm out again. Thanks for taking us along.

👍🌼🏜️🦎🧡. ( Just watched a PBS program on the Mexican wolf, it was reintroduced back into eastern Arizona. Biologists are heavily monitoring their progress w/ radio collars. They said there's around 200 in Az & N.Mex. They're on the small side, not much bigger than a male coyote.) Thx for the desert tour Olive & Jimmy.

I lived and worked at the Grand Canyon for a couple years and hiking Red Butte was one of my favorite hikes. I did it several times and would do it again if it weren't for my now advanced age and bad knees. I was friends with one of the Rangers that often stayed at the fire tower so I was allowed to visit inside. He told me a story of how he was once trapped inside because a black bear showed up looking for water. I was once there when two guys on mountain bikes came up the trail. If you take the trail to the red rock side you can sit and enjoy looking out over the desert. There used to be a heliport there, just a big cleared out circle lined with rocks, used to bring supplies for the fire tower. There's also another trail up the back side that is a little more treacherous. Thanks so much for this video, it brings back so many memories.

I was in the area not too long ago, but didn't explore. Spent a couple days at the South Rim, continues on to the Painted Desert and Petrified Forest on my trek back to Maine for the summer. Thank you for great hike! Hugs for Olive, too.

I loved the hike! I almost felt I was there! Reptiles are incredible creatures. All I have is anoles and geckos around my homestead but they are still cute and fun to watch and live with in my garden and patio.

Jimmy thank you so much for giving the forest service road number and details. I see places you go but in your older videos it is a guessing game as to where you actually were. I get my map out and try to figure it out because sometimes I really want to go to where you shared. Today I am in my van at Crystal Crane Hot Springs just outside of Burns Oregon. I drove through Terrebonne Oregon and got to watch two Alpacas give birth. I was just at the right place at the right time to see it! I LOVE you sharing where BLM is close to the Grand Canyon. Nice😎that lizard was cool. We had lots of snakes, lizards and tarantulas that my dad would bring home for my brother and me. We would keep them and release them after a couple of weeks.
