My son and I visited Mt Bromo in February this year. We took the comfort of a car and jeep and did not have to venture with a motorbike riding through the volcanic soil. It was indeed a wonderful experience.

That is a different road, this is the road from malang east side of Bromo i guess and is almost impossible to travel by car.

​@marufjamar6473 It sounds beautiful. I'll never make it there in my lifetime, but I am hoping KZbin will bring me some good videos. I lived in Oregon, USA, when Mt. St. Helen's erupted in Washington State, just to the north of us. Fascinating to see, but sad that people died, and how badly surrounding forests, rivers, and land was damaged. The good new a few years latwas that the surrounding fruit trees, did amazingly well. Apples and Pears are wonderful from that region. Another great site in Oregon is Crater Lake, from a volcanic lake caldera. The bluest water I have ever seen surrounding a small treed island. Lots of videos on KZbin of it. So wonderful to connect with the world through this site. I wish you all peace, and beauty.

Without BaoBao's mighty push (remember the Yan's proclamation from the cliff-hanging adventures in China: "I am a strong woman" ) Flo (would Roger Federer be his kin?) would remain permanently mired down on that Indonesian volcano. Oh - what an adventure! And the drone shots!!! No words can describe such an amazing, fascinating, fantastic, wunderbar scenery. You guys are living your lives to the full! I am so happy for you! I am glad you both finally reached Bromo with its caldera, I visited there in 1960 when there was no vehicles you have to walk from the nearest village or hire horses and you must wake up at 2 am and reach the rim of the crater to watch the sunrise and there was no steps you have to hire helper to pull you up, while you are in Indonesia you can go to another active volcano, the Tangkuban Prahu, it is near Bandung West Jawa, here you can reach easily with vehicle practically to the edge of the crater.

Ah, memories... I visited Bromo back in 1989, stayed at (I think) the same village, and woke to walk across and climb the active crater in time for sunrise. It doesn't look like a lot has changed since then (except there was no staircase). Thanks for sharing.

What a great video of Java, Little Chinese Everywhere. I've been following you now for about 2 months and love watching your videos of China. Java is such a volcanic island and I know that the island of Krakatoa is located between Java and Sumatra. When it erupted in 1883 it was one of the most violent volcanic events in recorded history. I live right next to Mount St. Helens in Washington State and it blew it's top off in 1980. Looking forward to your next video.

Java is the 2nd most populated island in the world but has incredible natural landscape. If your trip start from Jakarta ( West) to Banyuwangi (East) you will find the culture, language and the food are different in every city. Its so diverse. Unfortunately you spent too short time in Central Java. Central Java surrounded by many mountains and has beautiful landscape. As someone in this comment already give suggestion : if you are using google map here in Indonesia, don't follow motorbike path but choose the car path. Otherwise you will arrive in the middle of nowhere ..Good luck and be careful for your next trip.

Going to Mount Ijen to see blue fire, Tumpak Sewu waterfall and Baluran National Park then you will close to Bali. Amazing Indonesia. But if you will go to so many ancient Chinese culture, go to Singkawang in Borneo. You will see a lot of mix culture between Chinese and Indonesia. Oiaa ... try jajanan pasar or market traditional snack. You will see a mix food which is influence Indonesia culture. Go to traditional market and you will found a life there. Have a nice journey in Indonesia. Stay save and healthy. ❤

@@peanut0brain Bromo is easier to access for tourist. Semeru is more of a hiker volcano, need hours to hike to the top, and you have to be very fit to do that.

I did the Bromo crater many years ago. You're correct its cold. Up before dawn to watch the sun come up. Then I got to watch Semeru, the next door volcano erupted at the same time,
