Epic River Trip: Thailand to Luang Prabang by Slow Boat

After spending nearly 45 days in Thailand, we’re crossing the border and taking the Slow Boat down the Mekong River to the city of Luang Prabang.
In this video, you’ll see us travel by bus from Chiang Rai in Thailand to the Thai-Lao border. After spending a night in Huay Xai, Laos, we take the slow boat to Luang Prabang, via an overnight stopover in Pakbeng. The journey on the slow boat spans two days, spending around 6-8 hours on the water each day.

Did you pay for a visa at the border or get one for Laos in advance?

@@camdenledford3935 Hey! We paid at the border as, weirdly, it's cheaper to do it this way as opposed to getting an eVisa. The process was dead easy and the border guard only asked for a 20 baht 'service fee'.

Whether its a good or bad experience, its still an experience. Sometimes all vloggers presents us with the same videos while others succesfully allow us to experience their journeys. All destinations maybe the same, but no two journeys are.
