the Zio traps will always works as long as the Zio has 240 speed. It will be even worse with speedy units (Rhan and Peyra) because the more speed the fastest has, the more CR diff Zio will have. For numbers sake, you have to be at 325 speed to contest a 260 Zio (which can only be achieved by round 1 effects like the attack buff from Leah at the start of the match)

I've fought Rans that outsped their Zios before. Very rare, but still something to look out for. At the high Champion and lower Emperor ranks, it is a possibility!

For zio traps, i've had great success with 4 stealth units and ban protecc cristy, he can only hit her no matter like that, no need for Gpurgis or anything like that, just cristy

I really don't feel like you need to apease the loud minority who be like "funny streamer, do backflip...also don't use meta unit cause me no like, only use suboptimal units for the funny!". Worth considering this is relatively high rank. I would give rta a few tries. I have no unit above 300 speed and I tend to do pretty well in rta. Worst thing that happens is you place bronze after losing 10 games and you get free conquest points. No harm in trying

As mentioned, there is no harm in trying! What you're watching is matches against Champion and Emperor level players. The current ranks aren't reflective of their actual ranks because it's early in the season. Didn't be discouraged and try your best! The matchmaking system will queue you against people your level after a few matches.
