Yeah, Laplace, Footman and Tear have always just been playing around. Clayman was really weak. He was really just used as the face of the group since Kazalim died. But Laplace was always the strongest of the group. Honestly, Clayman was also the worst one. The others are actually pretty friendly and nice compared to Clayman. They are tricksters, and they hate Leon for killing Kazalim ( Kazalim was the one who made the mistake of challenging Leon though) but they don't really kill people unless they actually have to really. Laplace killed Roy because he was making fun of Clayman dying. Clayman was the weak little buddy of the group. The others tried to look out for him and they tried warning him that he was getting in over his head, but Clayman got too full of himself.

Clayman seems to have been nicer before Kazalim died, at least according to people who were under him in the spin-off "Trinity" manga. Clayman started doing anything to catch up to the others/live up to name of a demonlord and became what he is over a couple hundred years. Clayman was up against the some of the worst possible opponents in Shion/Rimuru. Both are nearly immune to mind effects and Shion has a sword that counters spiritual entities, which are Clayman's 2 areas of strength. Full name of spin-off - Tensei Shitara Slime datta Ken Ibun - Makoku Gurashi no Trinity It's a fun side-story that shows events in Tempest from another angle based on a character from the beast nation with friends from Milim and Frey's countries. A lot of the secondary characters from the main series get more screen time.

The reason he cannot mind control Shion is because when Shion was reborn she gained a memory skill that circumvents all forms of Mind Control... Unless someone had an Ultimate Skill revolving around Mind Control she is immune to it. These guys DID get the rights to use ALL of those skills, and that Kamehameha looked better than it has looked in DBS for a LONG time... Perhaps ever.

Actually that night was a New Moon night where the Vampires were at their lowest point of powers, that was why Laplace could kill Roy Valentine so easily when even Kazalim had had hard times with him. And Roy Valentine wasn't an actual Demon Lord, he was the same level with Carion and Frey, a Demon Lord Seed/Unawakened Demon Lord level.

Cool thing you may not know is that during the final battle when Rimiru was punching clayman he actually used his ability to make him perceive everything at a fraction of the speed. So even though he was only being punched for a few minutes he experienced weeks of pain. Which is why the other demon lords said it was what he deserved. When I heard that it just felt so much more satisfying that he was paid back for all the suffering he caused

Reason why Clayman got beat up so much is because his abilities got hard countered by Shion. If he went up against anyone else he probably would've fared much better its like a Fire Type going against a Water Type, it aint going to end up good.

small note the studio got permission to do the kamehameha. apparently they know the studio that makes dbz and asked them and well as you see they said yes. also i think at the end of this year there is a slime movie coming out. when or if it will come to the usa is the question but that also mean prob no season 3 in 2023. more like 2024.

Jami, you might find this fun... The manga Veldora wanted more of (3x3 Eyes) is a real manga from the 80's and 90's (and a short anime in the 90's). Veldora literally even mentioned the names of the main characters, Pai and Yakumo.

veldora is very Strong, he op skill name "Paradox manipulations" a skill can manipulate any paradox, an unexplained phenomenon, something that exists or happen when it shouldn't, a higher advancement skill of probability manipulations, veldora using this skill to create a unlogic battle technique from manga into reality he also using this skill to create he own unique version skill magicules breeder reactor ( skill to infinitely generate magicules)

there is also another skill called "Probability Manipulation" which was particularly effective against... MAJOR SPOILERS BELOW! Raphael when he/she tried to calculate his attacks pattern or something and Rimuru had to ignore him/her and remind Raphael about that skill... for what can only be described as an AI, Probability Manipulation is probably one of the hardest skills to defend against... fortunately Rimuru finally remembered to give Raphael a name, "Ciel" which made him/her many times stronger (and he/she was utterly overcome with euphoria at the prospect of being more useful to Rimuru in that moment) and led to Rimuru being able to evolve into a True Dragon and subdue two True Dragons at once, i.e. Veldora and his sister Velgrynd
