I’ve noticed when eating peppery food, opening your mouth for air to come in amplifies it’s hotness. No matter what, try to keep your mouth closed. -Try not to let it touch your lips -Stay calm -Drink milk; water doesn’t help because the constituent (capsaicin) that causes the burning sensation in pepper isn’t water soluble aka hydrophobic (dislikes water) . It’s lipophilic (fat loving) So just take milk or anything oily or rinse your mouth with vinegar - it would help soothe the burn.
