First race civic couldn't be powered by Bseries, most all honda enthusiasts depends on honda to develop a powerful motor so it can then be swapped into older chassis and claim the fame of being fast 😂 hatch definitely was kpowered K SERIES are for dummies to go fast, cause of Honda's technology, personally im a Bseries V man, even though it stands no chance in power potential compared to a K, but Bseries is the god father of honda power even 30yrs later it still gets it's respect, but for the life of me can't understand the whole v6 mitsubishi swap into mirage when a 4g63 will murder almost any v6 engine mitsubishi makes except 6a1 platforms and still potentially beat that engine family as well not a mitsubishi engine guru but if it's forced inducted then there's only one with reputation backed up but everyone has there preference it feels good to be different from others into same quest of being fast

Because, the 4G63, as great as it is, is over 30+ years old and they're getting harder to find and come by not thrashed on. Besides, if you've been paying ANY attention lately, you'll see the V6 they're using is from the latest Eclipse/Galants which are basically single cam destroked 4.0L DOHC Dakar rally engines. Those MIVEC engines respond REALLY well to NA modifications and they also sit much lower in the bay than most J Series do Honda chassis naturally so they clear the hood far easier and can make lots of power boosted or not just like a K series. Plus the Mirage is basically an EM1 by Mitsubishi lol. These V6's MOVE by all means and it's not uncommon to see them make 300-330whp with just bolt ons and re-flash tune. More on E85 and cam with injectors and re-tune.
