My son was 5 1/2 when we found Epic. He loves ancient history, and absolutely loves mythology of any kind, from any part of the world. This was an incredible medium to introduce him to the world of the Greek gods and their stories. He's seven now we both shed tears listening to the Ithica Saga together. Not only has this story always gripped my heart, the way that it's executed and told through Epic is the best I've ever heard or read. The writing bring homes EVERY important moral and lesson Ody learns and endures as "just a man" in a world ruled by powers greater than himself. Thank you Epic cast! You were apart of creating core memories for my son and I in his childhood. ❤

Its very fitting that the final Animatic is Gigi's. When you think about all these reaction channels watching Epic for the first time. When they go for the Animatic's as their entry point, I can almost guarantee Gigi's "Horse and the Infant" and "Just a Man" Animatic's are the first they watch. I was thinking about this, too! a hug, an embrace, is much more symbolic. a kiss is a gesture, and while people do kiss the ones they love, it's much more intimate. a hug is universal. It can mean a lot of things. a desire to be close, a gesture of comfort, and a way of not letting someone go. after being away for so long, a kiss wouldn't feel right. they need to hold each other again, they need to be close, they need to know the other isn't leaving, that after years apart, they're together again. also, as a side note, I like to imagine Ody kisses telemachus on the forehead during their embrace. as if he was trying to catch up on everything he couldn't do when he was gone

I noticed something the other day about certain lyrics in “The Challenge” and “Hold Them Down” that I haven’t seen anyone else talk about. In “The Challenge” Penelope says “whoever can string my husbands old bow” while in “Hold Them Down” the suitors say “whoever can string the old kings bow”. In my opinion this really shows how Penelope still had faith that Odysseus was still alive while the suitors had fully believed he was dead. It’s a small thing, but I think it’s a good little detail.

I doubt anyone is gonna read this , I am a newcomer to this whole epic the musical saga, I kept seeing on tik tok people making videos to the last song in the Ithaca saga and it peaked my interest so I then found the musical animation made by Luke Godfrey with all of these amazing animations and it did not disappoint at all. I’m literally crying because this whole thing was so beautiful. There is literally not one bad song throughout this whole thing and seeing the Ithaca saga come to life was just a cinematic masterpiece. I am beyond glad I went down this rabbit hole because I will be streaming all these songs literally forever. I don’t know what compelled Jorge to make this ( if you do see this comment) but it is truly amazing and thank you, I hope this isn’t the end because I am now a fan of you and all the singers you found there voices are literally smooth like butter I was captivated

I’m sorry that’s all happened to you. Don’t give up hope for those things though, like family and friends. I know it doesn’t feel like it, but you have so much time available to you- people’s whole lives change every day on this earth, whether it’s drastically overnight or slowly over time. But what i would really love to tell her is how much I love and care about her. Penelope asking him to move their bed was just a cherry on top of this masterpiece of a musical. It's been so awesome to follow this project as it was made, it's music is awesome and every single singer blows it out of the park, all of them did an amazing job and the rest of the crew as well. Everything about this is just perfect, thank you all for making this. Edit: Forgot to mention the animators both the ones who participated in all the premiere parties (wich I guess could be considered the official animations) and the ones who make their own animatics. Every single animation of this musical has been amazing. (and I just wanna highlight the last part. After every "waiting" from Penelope you can see a frame of her last 20 years: Ody leaving for war, Penelope doing nothing other than watching through the window waiting for his return, Telemachous growing up and watching the window with her, her starting to weave the shroud after the suitors arrived and now being alone once again and lastly, her crying alone in their room and in their bed. It just broke me, you can just see how much she loved him and how important they both are to each other and I'm just so happy that they finally reunited)

I had no idea what I was getting myself into, as I had only heard the last song of this entire musical, but as I listened to it in its entirety, I couldn't help but be enthralled by the story told through what you guys have here. The story was so beautifully told and I loved every single part of it. When Odysseus and Penelope reunited, I couldn't help but shed tears because of how every event that had happened eventually led up to this. Thank you for such well-told and beautifully written story, for the emotional songs you have created, and for giving all of us the chance to experience something great. Currently listening to My Goodbye while typing this, and I’m not sure if anyone from the cast and crew or even Jorge will see this, but I just want to say a sincere thank you to everyone for all you all have done for this community, you all have worked so hard just to get these out to us, you all have no idea how grateful we all are for you all and the time and effort everyone has put in, from the vocal recordings, to the streams, to the animatics we see, everything, you all have done so much for all of us and we are forever grateful, me included, this musical got me through tough times, listening to it made me happier, and it even made me more confident in my own singing abilities. I originally wanted to try and audition for Tiresias and Antinous, but didn’t because of lower confidence, but seeing the musical now, after years of listening, it makes me happy seeing it fully completed. And now here I am, belting these songs out confidently. So once again, thank you all so much, for everything, and I hope you all have an absolutely amazing holiday.

I have never cried during a live stream more than i did during this one. Epic has been there for me during some really tough years and I knew that if I opened KZbin and Jorge had uploaded, I was gonna feel a little more happy. This is one of the first musicals were the story and characters (and cast) actually connected to the audience and I felt truly involved in it during every livestream of a new saga. The way Jorge reacts with the audience is incredible and I just hope the cast knows how much their effort for this have changed some peoples lives. Will forever hold Epic very close to my heart.

Man can i just say this whole thing is wonderful but i want to focus on one part. The absolute beat down of Poseidon by Odysseus. Not only was that a brutally awesome and powerful scene, with the writing and story..... but i want to focus on the voice of Poseidon during this whole scene. Steven Rodriguez was able to make his suffering sound amazing and musical while still having it sound like pain. My god man, that is something i have never heard before! Usually people just make the grunting "oof" or "ugh" noises, or sing (normally) about how they are hurt but you my guy, have raised the bar so high!!! Seriously, this whole thing is incredible and i hope you get the opportunity to turn this into what every you wish so that the whole world can enjoy it. This musical you have all worked so hard on to make has added so much joy and goodness to the world. Thank you all for bringing this to life and sharing it with us!!!!

That does make me curious though, and this is in no way hate towards anyone in EPIC: The Musical (I would never tolerate that!!), but I originally thought that the reason Jorge did not include SA was because he thought it was a sensitive topic, hence the whole 'Calypso SAing Odysseus' from the Odyssey being removed, instead choosing a more sympathetic approach towards Calypso like in PJO. But then Antinous openly talks about planning to SA Penelope in 'Hold Them Down' while Odysseus even mentions the word 'rape' in the song 'Odysseus'. Though I still respect Jorge's writing decisions, since all the songs are amazing.

​@narumifuji3509 I don't think the reason why Jorge didn't adapt the SA from characters like Calypso is because it's too sensitive. Odysseus has been coerced or SA'ed by characters like Calypso and Circe in the original Homer's Odyssey but Jorge wanted them to be more sympathetic in his adaptation, to show how their circumstances led them into being romantically/sexually abusive to Odysseus. Circe canonically stripped and tried to force herself on Odysseus to kill him but that's because she was taught by her trauma that it was the only way to protect her nymphs. Calypso's loneliness led her to want to keep Odysseus for herself because she doesn't know of anyone other than him and is unaware of how she's hurting him. I think if Calypso had SA'ed Odysseus, it wouldn't gel with the naive attitude she has. Meanwhile, Circe did almost SA Odysseus had he not thrown her off of him. Antinous is a different story. His lustful behaviour wasn't born from the trauma of being isolated or having your loved ones hurt. He just wanted more. That's why his intent to take Penelope for himself is left in and it's ugly. It shows how terrible his character is, unlike Circe and Calypso who backed off. Circe and Calypso didn't enjoy forcing themselves on people but Antinous took pleasure from it. Anyway, point is, the SA wasn't actually completely removed from Epic but reframed to make those characters sympathetic. The difference between Calypso and Circe, and Antinous shows that there are people who were forced into doing bad things and people who are just that way. Jorge did remove Odysseus having children with Circe and Calypso though, probably to make it ring true that Odysseus is faithful to his wife without making Circe and Calypso look completely irredeemable.
