What you've seen, it's nothing. Sadly, the pokèmon community has been infected with the most disgusting human being, mostly from Showdown and that's really sad. Anyway planning a Gengar sweep isn't so hard. He has an high special attack, but he's frail. You should setup the Screens before sending him on the field. You could use a Nasty plot + Focus sash build or a Substitute + Black sludge, it depends from what you want to do. The focus sash option btw is better.
