I spent two years bartending at the Hog's Head Pub in Hogsmeade from opening. We had 3 shrunken heads hanging down against the wall behind the animatronic hog. Their shadows were our hidden Mickey for years until somoene took a head home.

I remember when Wet and Wild closed down and how Universal was able to built Volcano Bay pretty quickly. This just unbelievable that they were able to built this park quickly despite the pandemic.

Yes! I think it was like 6 years from groundbreaking to opening, which is nuts! Disney took that long to build TRON-ONE ride that was just a copy of a ride they already built 🙄

I hope the sight-lines of the Helios Hotel are okay around the park. Sightline's haven't been Universal's strong suit

@@AEM1008-n1t The Helios Grand Hotel is the tallest structure within Epic Universe, so I hope you can't see it from the 4 immersive lands (excluding celestial park) in which seeing it would break immersion.

I really hope this exceeds expectations because Disney and their parks have just gotten out of control lately and Universal to me is just infinitely more fun but my family and friends still like going to Disney and going to parks in a group is also more fun so I still go. Universal having purified water refills everywhere to me already takes my vote in the better park race.

Was just there for the second time in a year, and ya it’s really nice. Just walk up to any freestyle machine and fill the cup. There are sensors in the machine that can tell if you have a universal cup or not, and if not you can only get water. It’s nice because there are no attendants that scan your cup. It’s way faster than a regular amusement park

Glad to see your coverage. We’ve got Helios booked with theme park view, 7 nights and we’re going the first 7 days it’s open. Traveling out of state, and debating on renting a car since we’ve got dockside booked the day before opening and move to Helios then doing one night at Stella nova. The fees for parking was what I was thinking about if we should rent a car. I’m a premier passholder and wondered if my free parking applies to parking at Epic.

I was so disappointed by Confisco's the first time I tried it this last December. Very sad heat lamp fries came with our meal. The short rib wasn't that good compared to others I've had in the past. Wimpys and Finnegans are my go-to's in the parks.

Mythos is the most inconsistent restaurant in the world. Sometimes it’s great and sometimes it’s the worst food you’ll ever have. But I agree Confisco is the much better restaurant. It’s consistently very very good every time. And try the wings.
