Oh yes, that beautiful and EPIC 1920 Warner elevator! Speaking of historic, i filmed an Eagle elevator which is Installed in 1941

I stayed there when I took a trip to Greensboro and was put in that exact same room actually! The owner is super nice and had a lot of neat information about the hotel and its history, including the elevator. I did let him know that as of 2022 the building had the 2nd oldest original operating passenger elevator in the state of North Carolina, the oldest is just up the road in Winston Salem at the Reynolda House museum completely original from 1917.

That motor is epic! It is nice to see a historic elevator being treated with respect. This elevator is more reliable than the ones of today.

It was build like a tank, built to last for decades and keep on going up and down. Simple design relay controller, easy to repair. I know of one in the Bay Area installed in 1908 (birdcage winding drum) still in use.

There's a TON of space between the gate and hall doors... huge entrapment risk! I'm surprised it's allowed. But it IS gorgeous. And the room is quite nice. I like what I've seen so far a lot.
