Derek Lasee Lucky to be in a re-enactment like this. I’m in Scotland, so it’s extremely unlikely for me to find re-enactment groups, especially since our nature reserves and forests are frequently supervised by law enforcement, and it’s kinda illegal to do it without permission from the council of the area.

It was a humid summer day when the battle occurred, most of the French forces were sick or exhausted from the sun yesterday so only a few were fighting along the Schneider. It's amazing seeing this in person.

One thing I like are those Revolvers, that I see theme use the gun slinger shooting, and then the bag pips over the sounds of fire, and one thing must ask how do you find these reanacmments? And that last part with the guy wearing lobster armor

I don’t know much about these re-enactments but I love WW1. How do you know if you’re hit in the re-enactments?
@thetruekingofnorway6 жыл бұрын
Chewy TheCookie . Hope you enjoyed the video! It's mostly an honor system. If it looks like you would've been "hit", you go down. Most public reenactments are choreographed to a narrative in some way for the audience, so reenactors have a general idea when it is best to "die" according to the narrative. Private tacticals, on the other hand, are entirely honor system.

To be more realistic they should have the re anactors dig the same kind of trenches they had in world war1 and live and sleep in them for several days if they really want to relive history

@Caiddenn5 жыл бұрын
If you're there you know. A guy points his SMLE at you and empties a clip you're like 99% dead. If you're a dick about it, the guy on the canon in the tank doesn't aim for a spot right next to you he aims AT you. Combat comes at you like a tidal wave, and even though its not real bullets its still scary enough for you to throw in the towel in hopeless situations.

@Rydo4164 жыл бұрын
Probably not, at least in professional re-enactments made for photography purposes. Once you ‘die’ and the camera pans off, you get back up and move to a different position.
@Rydo4164 жыл бұрын
But for real roleplaying re-enactments, I’m not so sure. Maybe you crawl off to the side slowly, then once you’re out of sight you go back to your allies.

I thought world wR 1 was trench warfare. They should have reconstructed the same kind of trenches and barbed wire they had in the real war
@Rydo4164 жыл бұрын
Silver Sword They would need permission of the landholders (likely privately owned by the government, or public property under government restrictions) and there’s no point re-enacting trench warfare, as it would be extremely dull and boring, which is why you don’t see WW1 games depicting even a small amount of trench warfare, as it’s overly repetitive and it’s sucks the fun out of the whole idea of gameplay.
