Oh Nick, you have no idea what you’ve unleashed! I went to Tennessee over Spring Break with my family and visited the Smoky Spinnery in Gatlinburg and they had it all. I came home with beautiful fibers and my drop spindle and 7 months later I am loving it all! My husband bought me an electric spinner, check out Dreaming Robots. I have the EEW 6.1 and I love it but first, learn how to spin. BTW, I have that book, love it. I love to crochet using my own yarn. Enjoy, Aura!

OMG that's amazing! I know I'm in trouble. I haven't even started with the drop spindles yet and already I'm looking at spinning wheels and e-spinners!

If you hadn't said you were 40, I would have guessed more like 29! I sure hope you reach your goal and get to run the marathon. I can't imagine running that far I really liked the Book Club anniversary cake, but now that I see the Birch Bark, wow. Can't wait to see what you make with it. A cardigan would be nice, I bet.

You just took the words out of my mouth, lol!! I was going to suggest C2C with those Anniversary cakes. I think those types of colorways work so beautifully with C2C!! You're from Jersey? I'M from Jersey!! Grew up in Linden, but moved around a few times as I got older. In 2009, I finally moved out after 55 years of NJ and moved to NC. No regrets!! People are much friendlier here. And I love Bluegrass music which isn't as popular in NJ as it is in NC. I'm new to your channel and enjoying what I am seeing! Pleasure to meet cha!! 😊

lol, welcome to the club! I tell myself the same thing, Much worse addictions to have than yarn. I also bought the same 3 colorways of Anniversary cakes. Haven't done anything with them yet. I have Tunisian crocheted for years. I have 4 different sets of interchangeable hooks. By far, my favourite set is a metal set from Ali Express (they also have them on Temu now). Extremely good price and so nice to work with. Only downside is they don't have a 12 mm hook.

Hello, new subscriber here. I'm Sandy from Crochet Eh Canada on YT. I am working with the Anniversary cake as I am watching this. I'm using Hocus Crocus (purple one) and am making a sweater. I think I might be able to get a couple sweaters out of one cake. I made a chunky sweater a few years ago when the cake first came out and did a tutorial on it. I had a ton of yarn left over so I am going to see how many I can get out of this one. Can't wait to see what you make! Blessings

I'm curious about the bulky ReSpun yarn. I've made a few projects using the 4 weight version of that and I really like it. After an awesome sale that JoAnn had on the regular ReSpun yarn I now have every color Lion Brand gas ever made in that yarn. It washes up really well. Does the bulky very wash up okay? I'm worried it will become a fuzzy mess. The Latte Cakes make amazing blankets. I knitted a blanket for my youngest with the Latte Cakes and it us my favorite blanket. The feel and drape is amazing. They make great scarves too!

Nothing wrong with yarn shopping. Especially if the yarn is on sale. Your cowl turned out to be very pretty, that colorway would not have caught my eye but the salt water taffy would. I just ordered yarn from mary maxim last weekend. They had a weekend sale and I just could not help myself. Caron jumbo yarn 7.99. I just finished a baby blanket with matching pillow cover using caron cinnamon swirl cakes in springtime. turned out to be very pretty. Would never guess that the yarn was not baby yarn. Thanks for the video.

You can still find the Aniversery Cakes at Michael's at my local Michael's here in South Florida. I was in there yesterday, and they had two colorways I only saw four skeins. Now I'm thinking I should have bought them, but I promised no more yarn till I make a sizeable dent in my stash.

I know the latte cakes say you can put them in the dryer. If you dry them it ruins the soft and fluffiness of the yarn. It makes it look and feel matted.
