Well.... what do you expect to happen, with this Army, when someone like Ganondorf appears? Think about twilight Princess, Zanto alone with his army were enough to Raid Hyrule Castle. Those are just merely humans and in the Zelda Universe are more then enough Hazards, which just someone like link, With Triforce Support can handle. In Breath of the Wild we did see what happens to Hyrule and their Army, when the Hero isn´t there, the Guardians just wiped them out.

@@SuperCrysiscore Actually in the lore to a Link to the Past the Knights of Hyrule valiantly defended hyrule against Ganon and his army and bought time for the sages seal full triforce Ganon without a Link (even though most of them died in this conflict known as the Imprisoning War). Funny how the Knights of Hyrule are descendants from a Link. The Hero of Legend (Link to the Past Link) is a descendant of the Knights of Hyrule which is pretty cool if you think about it.

Good question.... It would be easiest to have link talk, but that would create an irregularity with the canon lore, which seems to point to selective muteness being an inherent trait in the Hero's line. If, IF, a producer could pull off a Legend of Zelda movie with a silent protagonist, I'd be the first at the ticket booth!

Vincent Linsin Believe it or not, he does talk, you just don't hear him, because, when he does, they want you to imagine, both what he says and how he says it (immersion). In the manga though, he talked all the time and even in the game, other wise they would have no idea what his name is or what he's trying to do. At least, that's how I see it anyway.
