Your reaction while listening to the song was so similar to mine (yes, I cried). And Once Upon a Nightmare is not appreciated enough in my opinion; it's my favourite Epica song even though it's not like their typical heavy stuff. Glad to see it's one of your favourites as well. After that song, almost all Epica songs/albums are tied and my favourites are constantly shifting as I keep re-discovering small things that I hadn't noticed before. It never gets boring, of course. Anyway, amazing reaction to an amazing song. I still can't get over that flute and chorus part right before the extended pre-chorus at the end!

I've been listening to the song on loop since it came out. I'm so in love with the song and the video is amazing! And yeah, it's very catchy, I got it stuck in my head all day every day xD Simone and Mark's vocals are on point, and when they sing along the other *chef kiss*. I'm in love with the song. I'm in love with Simone's outfits. I'm in love with the visuals. The lyrics. Aaaaah! Someone pointed out to me that the white strands on the outfits of Simone and Mark are DNA! I didn't even notice it until it was pointed out to me, and I watched the video A LOT to get all the symbolism behind it alongside the lyrics... I am way too hyped about this album. It cannot come soon enough (and the end of February is wayyyyyy too far from now, lol).

This is great song! It seems to me Epica raised the bar once again. Looking forward to the new album! Pick favourite song of this band? That's hard to do as all of their songs are outstanding. Well I'll go for The Quantum Enigma - Kingdom of Heaven part 2! Bu who knows, maybe the new album contains a new favourite. I do like this new Abyss of Time very much too! 🤟

I think Mark must have got a 3D printer and gone berserk with it, judging by those costumes! Simone's headdress reminds me of Dale Arden being prepared for marriage to Ming the Merciless in Flash Gordon! 😋 I've pre-ordered the 4 disc Deluxe Edition of the album. It has the original version, plus acoustic, orchestral and instrumental versions. Hurry up, February!

@@PlanetaM26 I'm not rich, but I owe it to myself. I have come to love what they do over the last few years - although Nightwish will always be my favourite. I don't feel I'm cheating on either of them. My fave Epica will have to be Universal Death Squad. Thematically it reminds me of "Eighth Day" by Hazel O'Connor - also about the dangers of handing over too much power to technology. Epica can be rather cerebral at times. It's not always a good thing. I found Design your Universe a little simplistic in its message. We don't all have the same power to change our lives.
