It is available as a part of 'We Still Take You With Us' (out now), which bundles it together with their legendary (and never released) live performance 'Live at Paradiso,' as well as their first three albums: 'The Phantom Agony,' 'Consign To Oblivion' and 'The Score.'

Then Consign to Oblivion is the second in the list of studio albums, but We Will Take You with Us is from 2004, though in the list of live albums. I remember showing this clip and Cry for the Moon (from the WWTYWU DVD) to my music class in secondary school (that's high school for the Americans reading). It was amusing watching a class of students (and the teacher) from a very conservative school react to heavy metal. They were clearly cynical about it, but it was clear they were captivated by the use of classical instruments and a (somewhat) operatic singer with chugging guitars and grunts. Epica is an alluring band and the approachable catchiness of their first album can make ANYONE rethink their preconceived notions of heavy metal. Happy 20th Anniversary to this INCREDIBLE band! Long live EPICA!

Amanda like Marcella are criminally underrated. Amanda is so important for a lot of bands and musicians in the genre and most folks do not know who she is. Amazing voice and yet, she never overdoes anything. She simply guides and enhances. This woman could be fronting any band band of her choosing.

I'm generally an extreme and prog (and extreme prog!) metal person, but I adore this song - this performance and the Quietus vid were my first exposure to Epica, and they were revelatory, akin to the impact on me of early Kate Bush, where I felt transported into a very pure and creative fairy-tale consciousness of the everyday world. Simone's singing has obviously become much more refined and nuanced over the years, but it is simply angelic here. It's a pity Epica don't appear to rate this song much anymore - or other beautiful early songs such as Dance Of Fate - it would be wonderful to see modern live performances with the benefit of all the progress the band has made.

EPICA are a prog-influenced band (i hear Opeth and Dream Theater influences in their music, lot of tempo changes in the songs and even odd time signatures sometimes) so that's not weird to appreciate it as a prog fan. You can almost classify them as a Symphonic-Prog Metal band.

I recommend that you listen to the singles from their latest album: The Skeleton Key, Abyss of Time and also others from the same album that they play regularly are Code of Life, Kingdom of Heaven Part 3. No, this DVD will not be released. It's the remastered liva audio which will be released. They uploaded the entire DVD for free.
