Simone was much more prepared than the interviewer. Anyway, I'm glad we could listen her thoughts. My favourite part was when she was talking about dreams. I got a confirmation of dreams mean universally the same irrespective of the origins (nation, race, gender etc).

"Without a wall of sound. Not being overly compressed." Oh Simone, I love you. So much joy to hear the renewed dedication to quality. Favourite movie, the Alien series? Mine too yay! 'I can't listen the the old albums with my old vocal style.' Daaaaamn. Didn't expact that comment. The old voice was better. If you don't like it, that could explain why the voice going downhill hasn't been nipped in the bud.

At a technical standpoint, her voice isn't going 'downhill', as you say. You are, of course, allowed to prefer her older sound but her voice would have been gone a lot faster if she didn't train it out. She was far too compressed and lowering her larynx position isn't going to result in longevity. Vocal damage is no joke when you're a hardcore touring band/artist.
