Great concept album, with a lot of heavy, melodic and bombastic moments. Furthermore, its interessting how the lyrics bring the reflection that the several religions try to reveal that humankind is one and the same entitiy, despite its cultural and spiritual differences.

This album is quite the masterpiece! Their longest standard release yet. I hope "The Phantom Agony" is next. And if there could be full album streams of at least "Prison of Desire" and "Decipher" by After Forever, through Floor Jansen's page, that would be amazing! Using Muslim Call of Prayers in Fools of Damnation was wrong choice and offensive. It is good thing they grown out of that habit, I see how Mark loved using Arabic words in Epica songs but he must use them in their context.

It was a great choice exactly because it's offensive to religious nutjobs and fits the context of the song and the album perfectly. A malevolent godlike being or a religious leader calling their fools to dance to their twisted tune. I remember when the song was uploaded on early KZbin and the comment section was filled with death threats. They had some balls and I wish they've kept them.

@@dingodango7331 Nope! such acts radicalise people doesn't free them from radicalism or enlighten them. it goes the other way around it even make moderate would feel attacked which benefits radicles. the call of prayer is in Arabic it has no context no translation, it would subconsciously be understood by none adherent to that religion as negative and evil which create some sort of radicalization of none Muslims against Muslims it also harm Epica image as an international band as intolerant and picking on certain group. show me a song by epica talk about Jewish fanaticism or Zionism by using ancient Hebrew... they wouldn't dare. Under law in the Netherlands freedom of speech doesn't exist if you talk about these things. Epica attack just one religion that Islam in many of their songs or Catholicism in few songs like cry for the moon and living a lie... like in façade of reality there is no need to use tony Blair speech which not only destroyed the song it has automatically made you pro tony Blair without knowing . tony blair responsible for many war crimes. I love their older stuff actually but I also like things to be in their right place. there was no need for call of prayer to be there it actually hide beauty of the instruments. also the vers fool dance with again doesn't fit the melody with the chores it is not that perfect as song
