Can we just talk about the lyrics?! Before I saw the video, lyrics made me think about depression bc those who know will understand how detached from reality you can get and how depersonalization is really a thing and it makes you completely lose track of anything you ever loved/enjoyed and that's the leash, your cage, not even being the shadow of what you used to be. I didn't think of that interpretation. Which, I guess, is a beautiful thing. How we can interpret things differently. I saw Epica last year in Brisbane Australia & was blown away. You dont really get a sense of how powerful Simone's voice really is until you see her live & the guys are amazingly tight. Just a world class band who deserve way more respect

I doubt Epica care if people pirate their albums. It's the concerts that get the most money. And if people pirate their stuff, realize how good they are & see them live. I know I would if I had the opportunity, and I started listening through pirated versions of their albums(maybe I'll buy some one day just to use it as a decoration as epica kickass). Not everyone can afford to buy 1000 albums tbh. I have bought official merch and seen live bands that I only discovered through pirated stuff. I think epica are happy if we are fans, see them live even if we don't owe physical cds.

I know this have nothing to do with epica and with this video, but i must say Mark Jansen have pure talent to make such an chilling amazing opera passages in songs and it give me chills no matters who sing it, that ending is really amazing, i think if he continued with Floor it would be same or even more amazing, but anyway, i give this man big respect for this :)

The lyrical voice of Simone is extraordinary. I cant understand why they have abandoned that in the last years of the band. I apreciatte the first works much more than the last albums for this reason. However, its a great band for me who love classical music and heavy songs.
