Episodic Synopsis
While India may have suffered great losses during the Sino-Indian conflict of 1962, the war is also known for one of the significant defences put up by India at the battle of Rezang La. This battle was significant in keeping the Chinese away from of the Chushul airfield and Ladakh. 120 unprepared Indian soldiers fought over 5000 Chinese soldiers. Of the 120 men, 114 were killed including the brave commander Shaitan Singh, 6 were taken as prisoners of war and 1 was sent back by the commander to warn the army about the Chinese invasion. The story of Rezang La is about the brave effort of messenger Ram Chander Yadav who bought news of the attack to the mainland and of Nihal Singh who despite being heavily wounded escaped out of Chinese territory.

7 जवान जो मेजर शैतान सिंह के साथ उनके आखिरी युद्ध में थे। उन में से एक सिपाही मुलायम सिंह यादव ( एटा, उत्तर प्रदेश) आज अपने आखिरी दिनों मे हैं। वे ऐसी बीमारी से ग्रस्त हैं जो उनकी यादाश्त कमजोर कर रही है। वे अकेले ज्यादा दूर जा नही सकते क्युकी उन्हे याद नहीं रहता वे किस रास्ते से आये। लेकिन रजांग ला का हर वो रास्ता आज भी उन्हे याद है जो उन्होंने न केवल देखे जिनके बारे में उन्हे वहा बताया गया, हर वो लफ्ज याद है जो मेजर शैतान सिंह ने उनसे कहा था, कब वे भर्ती हुए क्या माहौल था युद्ध कैसे हुआ कैसे वह से निकले, निकलने के बाद कोनसा रास्ता उन्होंने चला हर वो बात जो उन्होंने फौज मे देखी, अहीर धाम कहा स्थित है, कुमाऊँ रेजिमेंट के किस्से, अहीर धाम जाने का रास्ता बताते है और हर वक़्त उनके दिमाग मे वही सब चलता रहता है बार बार वही बाते दोहराते रहते है। कभी बताते है जब वे राजस्थान अपने अन्य 6 साथियो के साथ गए थे मेजर शैतान सिंह के घर तब उनकी धर्म पत्नी ने उन्हे आदर के साथ चाय और नास्ता कराया था ये उनकी मांग थी फौज़ से की मुझे उन वीरो से मिलना है जो मेजर साब के साथ आखिरी वक़्त मे साथ थे। जब वे वीर वहा पहुँचे तो मेजर साब की पत्नी की आँखें नम हो आई इतना देखते ही सिपाही मुलायम सिंह यादव उठ कर चलने लगे। उन्होंने पूछा आप ऐसे क्यों जानें लगे तब सि° मुलायम सिंह यादव भी नम आँखो से बोले "मैडम आप हमें बैठने कहा दे रही हो। जब तक रोती रहोगी हम कैसे देख सकते है मेजर साब हमारे पिता समान थे आदर्श थे हम कैसे देखे ये दृश्य " । लेकिन दुःख होता है जब हमारी पीढी इन सच्चे वीरो से अंजान है 120 थे जिसमे 114 ने बलिदान दिया 7 जिसमे 3 - रामचंद्र यादव, निहाल सिंह, मुलायम सिंह यादव अन्य 4 उनका नाम मे जानता नही। चुकी मुलायम सिंह यादव मेरे एक रिश्ते में नाना जी और में जाति से क्षत्रिय तो ये कहानी आप तक पहुचाई। अन्य 4 वीरों के बारे जानकारी हो तो साझा करें

The battle of Rezang la is one of the bravest battle in the history of indian army where 120 ill equiped solders of Charlie company of kumaun Regiment who were told to retreat from their post due to heavy influx of better equipped Chinese solders but they refused to retreat and fought till the last bullet last men And braving such odds killed nearly 1500 better equipped solders of Chinese army who not only were better equipped but had the support of artillery (which killed most of our solders) It was due to this heavy loss the chinese declared ceasefire otherwise they had significant gains in NEFA The solders fought with such bravery that even the superior officers were not believing it and it was when they shaw the battlefield after the winters that they could see the evidence of bravery themselves Bollywood should make a big budget movie on this battle so that comman people of inda also know about the bravery The Rezangla war memorial is on the bike trail of leh Ladakh but very few Indians know the bravery of our solders Their bravery need to be told to the nation

Salute! to all the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the Country.🙏 There is another brave tale i would like to highlight.The Heroic resistance put up by 8th Gorkha Rifles's Major Dhan Singh Thapa and his 24 men at sirijap post north of the Pangong Lake in Ladakh during 1962 war.The actually number of chinese PLA was well over 600.Gorkhas repelled two waves of chinese attacks inflicting heavy casualties but at last PLA brought tanks.From Khukuris to hand to hand fighting 24 men proved their mettle in certain face of death.Later major thapa was awarded with Param veer Chakra and sirijap post is also named after him it's called "dhansingh thapa post". P:S-There are many hill in ladakh named after Gorkhas like Gurung hill,Magar hill etc.
