That short story of young Ed throwing his cereal to the ground to spite his mom made me tear-up. It really hit home for me and brought back a lot of childhood memories. My older brother always did shit like that to our mom and I was a witness to the aftermath and emotional toll it took on her, and in consequence me. I really appreciate his honesty and it shows how powerfully a seemingly offhand comment can resonate.

1:11:30 I remember this noseblunt so vividly. I was 9 years old when I met Ed at my first demo (2000). It was the toy machine crew, The butcher, harmony and a few others at XXX sports in Nashville. He hung out with me and answered all my questions for what seemed a life time. Just sitting on top of the mini ramp and my older brother was so upset because he ditched me and was on the other side of the park during the demo and thought he had the better spot to watch. 😂 one of my favorite skate memories. Still got the giant skull monster sticker with all of their signatures. ❤

I thought he was awesome anyway, but also cuz he was from my area and was into Fugazi which ended up being the first show I ever went to. It was amazing, the Huntrudge Theatre in Las Vegas. The fact she thought she was being a "bitch" and Ed immediately saying something to the contrary, drives it home even further for me that you can't find another another instance or purer form of two people 100 percent devoted and forever joined at the hip. I've never seen that for real in my life.

Yeah man, Mike V went from one of my favorite skaters to a man I can't ever respect again. You don't sell out your friends for a check. Fuck that. No excuses, I don't care that he was in his early twenties. That's old enough to understand you're fucking someone over, someone you had history with at that. Mike has to act tough to get by, Ed IS tough and got by. One has to think Mike wasn't confident in his abilities to make a decision like that and guess what? Ed was never a wack skater, always pushing himself and the limit. No fucking fear. No "tough guy" image. Fuck Mike V for that forever, fake ass Henry Rollins.

1:11:11 a fond memory I have is witnessing Ed Templeton skateboarding a demo. We all were hyped when The Tempster ripped through the demo.

Gnarly that Mike V would pull such a shady move on a buddy who was there through it all with him like that, dumped a good thing to start something with Mike, only to get did like that? Man, that’s messed up, and I’ve always thought differently of Mike… starting to think some deserved karma came back around for that move. I guess Mike projected another image entirely to the public. I met Ed as a kid in mid 90s, at Santa Rosa park. I think he was doing a demo for Surf Plus skate shop maybe? He was a genuine dude who took time to talk with us groms. We took him to skate the handrail across the street and we’re in the background to Welcome to Hell I think it was. Ed had sacked a rail and showed us his purple bruised nuts. Hilarious. I think I was about 12 or 13. Tony Trujillo was the only one of that grom crew who went on.
