I'm so stoked to watch this. I recently made the decision to regain health and potential by quitting the drinking and the drug use routine. After a decade+ of excessive drinking and drugs it takes a toll on your body and spirit. I'm about 4 weeks in and everything feels so much easier and better. Lighter on my feet, people giving such more positive responses, you can think clearer, anxiety gone, employable, no more seizures, etc... MOST OF US WATCHING THIS ARE PROBABLY SKATERATS FOR LIFE SO WE'RE IN IT FOR THE LONG RUN BOYS, LET'S DO IT RIGHT YEAH!

+Drewski Kalonji I could totally hug you for that, man. I don't skate, I do music and I am trying to get my shit together so I can give it 100%. I am realizing that you can't really do what you love if you don't love yourself. All the partying and shit was fun, but it keeps you from seeing the truth that you aren't being true to your calling...at least that's what I am seeing. Anyways, stay up, man.

“I’m just really grateful anyone cares, I don’t take that for granted” probably one of the best lines in this epically laterd. A valuable lesson too. Also that quote definitely hit home for me, as former drug addict who only made it through because of the love and support of my family and friends.

the days where pro skaters could slack off and get paid for years is going away. tom penny, who really is living off the stuff he did in the mid 90s, can never exist today. before you could rip for a few years and then live off that glory, but those days are numbered. with the constant amount of footage coming through the web and Instagram people have to be on top of their game to make a living skateboarding now.

This hits close to home for sure. I just turned 30 and dealing with some booze problems. Ever since I stopped skating, I feel this empty/ depressed feeling. Like living in the past, even though I can hop on my deck anytime I want.. but it's damn near impossible when you're dehydrating yourself every night. I can flip all my old tricks, but I fckn collapse. I gotta get my sh-t together, only getting older.

Man, as a kid Spanky become my favorite skater as soon as I seen his This Is Skateboarding part and it was over, after that I bought his first pro shoes and board. I was so proud to shred in his shoes. It is true though, he did fall off after Baker 3. you can start to see the gnarly leaving him in that video. I always figured it was an injury but substances can get the best of us man. This was kind of depressing to watch but Spanky will always be my favorite. I'm glad he's coming back!

dude when i was younger i always bought emerica shoes and my old vid that got me hyped was smash it up. PD piss drunkz was a thing me and my friends wanted. to get drunk and stoned and skate just like emerica and baker. but i also liked SHS simple hearted skaters. Prod, mikey taylor and kevin and them guys. then when transworld inbloom came out prod was the guy i wanted to be like and the tune was dop[e on that vid that all my friends were like whats the tune man. i fucking miss them times now im 31 and dont skate much or progress. i just wish i had friends to skate with my age.
