Tom being a teenager and doing some crazy late back foot flip on a mini.. that’s so crazy, not only for a kid but also for the 90s. He thinks differently about tricks you can tell, he’s creative, like any obstacle gives him different inspiration than other skaters

It wasn’t a hiatus. He got kicked out of America so went and lived in France at his mums. He never stopped skating, just wasn’t in the media spotlight. He was always like that though, a lot of tricks were never filmed because he didn’t do things for the camera. You’d have to just be lucky enough to find him or be there.

Not taking away anything here but Arto is not quite talking right...the board he has is not an old TP graphic but an graphit of an old Penny ad! When filming for Sorry Penny was definitiv NOT in his hiatus which was 95/96 not around 2000! Him speaking french so good is because he spend 4 years there not one (96-2000) plus his mother is french...i mean he went there after the Amsterdam Contest in 1996 (huge kickflip on the vert wall) and just bever came back to the states.

95-6 were his prime USA years. His hiatus was when he left the US until (roughly) Sorry came out in 2002.

So there was the “Hiatus “ in the French countryside. No real board of his own for 3-4 years. NO SKATING WHATSOEVER. And we’re to understand that he Got some clips and photos published the day he stepped back on board. On that trip, ?!? What.? That’s like the most Tom Shit I’ve ever heard. 😂😂😂
