Great reminder BarakAllahu feek. May Allah increase you in knowledge, Ameen. As someone with a psychology background, I would like to note that complaining to people isn’t about pity and it does change your situation if you are speaking to your closest loved ones. One of the reasons why our Prophet s.a.w. was so deeply hurt with the passing of Khadija r.a. Was because she provided him with great emotional support. It meant a lot to him to have her say the words she did when he came to her shaking upon receiving revelation. So speaking to people isn’t just about pity or yields nothing. It does have an impact. We all need reassurance, comfort, someone who understands. That is why Hawa was created: for that companionship. I fully agree we need to limit whom and how often we seek the help of others. Obviously there is no one who can help us like Allah can. He is the Most Capable. I just don’t want people to be discouraged from getting help or to belittle or have people feel bad for needing human connection.

I complain to you of my weakness, my scarcity of resources and humiliation before the people. O Most Merciful! The Lord of the weak and my Lord too! To whom have You entrusted me? To one who does not care for me? Or have You appointed my enemy as master of my affairs? So as long as You are not angry with me, I care not. Your favor is abundant for me. I seek refuge in the light of Your Face, by which all darkness is dispelled and every affair of this world and the next is set right, lest Your anger or your displeasure descend upon me. I desire your pleasure and satisfaction until You are pleased. There is no power (to do good) and no might (to refrain from evil) except with You
