5 years later and still no music video. I learned a lot in the 3 years that I tried to make this happen with. If I didn't accidentally come across this today I wouldn't be making this update. All the character designs and storyboards are in my file cabinet, I've attempted to animate this several times, each of which I hit points where I decided I'd rather put my energy elsewhere than solving those problems. Boy, was that a stupid idea. Eventually so many problems accumulated that I decided it would be better to redo everything up, starting from the concept. But I never did. Here's a quote of what the content was originally going to be (based on my message to Dabin): "A young man is shot by his lover and tossed out of a plane, flying over water. Except it will play in slow motion and reverse. So in the beginning he's rising from the depths and the blood that seeped into the water is going back into his body as he rising to the sky and into the plane and so on. Then it plays back forward in normal speed. At the very end of the song he washes up on a shore(still alive), a girl in a white dress finds him there."

I don't think the songs are "bad" so much as different. Some of the songs are okay but for people who like this stuff it probably isn't their favorite. Also you have to remember that just because nostalgia tells you it was an awesome time doesn't mean it was the "best" time.

It's often a symbolic thing, in a lot of anime and manga characters will go through a stage of depression, often there emotions during this stage that are described as a sinking feeling, hence the concept art visualizing these emotions. Often these kind of emotions that a character experiences is because it will often share similarities with emotions people feel in real life, and is therefore quite popular.
