Nice review guys. I appreciate the tent and sleeping bag demo. Looks like the shelter could definitely be upgraded. It could use some kind of ground insulation. Perhaps adding two 55 gal. drum liners to stuff with leaves or a simple foam sleeping mat strapped to the pack. Also, a tarp seems more versatile for different shelter configurations and way more robust. Thanks again for taking the time to review this kit.

The included mylar sleeping bag could be used as a mattress if stuffed with leaves. Then the other mylar sleeping bag could be used as the sleeping bag. This is assuming you are the only person using this kit. Although, I have a feeling the leaves might tear the mylar. So, adding 55 gal. drum liners would be the safest route.

I never trust those pre-made kits my earthquake kit is the same as I use for hiking/camping/travel if I travel by way of flying I of course take out any knife/multi-tool/pepper spray. I always buy a small folding knife when I land and then donate it to a thrift store or leave it for housekeeping with a note explaining why.

Thanks for uploading this review! Was looking into grabbing one after discussing preps with my family, but after seeing exactly what's in the bag I think I might just go ahead with my original plan and create my own custom version. Feels like it'll be much cheaper to get stuff direct from the supplier and be able to customize for my and my families own needs. Great option for folks who don't wanna research too hard/shop around and are just looking to have a backup bag though!

Man, the shelter setup and use part of the video was tough to watch! I can only imagine how tough it was to actually get in there and try to make it work. 😅 I do appreciate the demonstration, though. I really like the presentation, overall. It was informative but still entertaining!

The gloves and safety goggles are probably more safety purposes than sanitary purposes. If you're trapped somewhere and need to get out, you're going to want to protect your eyes, hands, etc.
