EPIK HIGH - 'BORN HATER' M/V REACTION! Best Korean Rap Song?!

To give you a brief explanation, this song is kind of a reply to their haters. Each rappers lyrics and items displayed during their part are all related to the haters comments. i.e. The guy with the dirty magazines was studying at the most prestigious university's law school and left to become a rapper and been sworn and criticised loads for that. Also the mv's theme is '7 deadly sins' , so each rapper represents one of the deadly sins and there is the janitor trying to clean up after them. I strongly recommend to go for lyrics and a small seach about the symbolism in the video, and come back to react again. You will be surprised to the level of genius in this piece of art

By the way Epik High is a 3 member group consist of the first beat making guy with orange suit, the cockroach guy and the pizza guy. And they made kind of follow up of this song in their new album named 'no thanxxx' strongly recommend that one too

There are 3 members Dj Tuk (The orange suit) , Tablo ( the first rapper), and Mithra (The one eating alot) .

I've read that each rapper is supposed to represent each of the 7 deadly sins so (in order of appearance): DJ Tukutz is envy due to his lack of screen time and recognition compared to the other members Tablo is pride since his lyrics has a sense of superiority over the "cockroaches" aka haters Beenzino is sloth with all of the shoes Verbal Jint is lust shown with the erotic magazine B.I is supposed to be the "pure" one as he's cleaning the others messes Mithra is glutton as shown with all of the food he's eating Mino is wrath because of the violence/rebel concept displayed Bobby is greed with all the money and luxury items

all of the rappers featured in the video are great, but the og's are verbal jint and epik high and i suppose you could sort of consider beenzino as an og but he hasn't been around as long as verbal jint and epik high. dezzy i really highly, highly suggest you check out verbal jint's work. i'm almost positive i'm the only one that will suggest it to you and you might not even see this comment but verbal jint, just like epik high, was a pioneer for talking about serious issues in his music. PLEASE i beg of you to at least check out his song "You Deserve Better". it speaks on serious issues like domestic violence and ones self worth and it's a beautiful song on top of that.

Epik High is a Hip Hop Trio made out of Tablo (the very first guy in the white sweather), Mithra Jin (the one who ate the fries) and DJ Tukutz (the one in the orange suit) the other rappers who featured on this were Beenzino (the one with the Nike Boxes), Verbal Jint (the guy on the toilet with the magazines), B.I from the Group iKON (the one in all white who sang the chorus), Mino from the Group WINNER (the guy with the baseball bat and leather pants) and Bobby also from the Group iKON (The guy with all the trophies) He actually won the rap competition "Show Me The Money 3" in that year when this song came out, that's why there are all these trophies with him... You should definitly check out more K-Hip Hop stuff. This is a track off of their album Shoebox...go buy...Burj Khalifa if my fav off that album..saw them in ATL in 2015 and it was amazing! You DEF need to check out their new album as well-We've Done Something Wonderful....The track No Thanxxx has Mino, Simon Dominic and The Quiett feat...also the track Lost One made me cry when I first heard it...Tablo said it was inspired by BTS and other young people who literally give up their lives and seek a career in the entertainment industry. Epik High should always be watched with lyrics cause they are masters of word play and double and triple meanings, etc...Tablo has an iq over 170 and got a BA and an MA in ENGLISH at the SAME TIME from Stanford!!! Anyway, Epik High is amazing and have been through alot and been around for a while....they are 1 of the main inspirations of BTS members and why they wanted to pursue music. Once you finish checking out Epik High, you should def check out Tiger JK/Drunken Tiger/MFBT/YoonMiRae(Tasha)/Bizzy...Tiger JK is considered the grandfather of hip hop in Korea. They directly influenced Epik High who directly influence BTS who is currently influencing the next generation. Older Epik High tracks are awesome as well like Maze and Tablo did solo and collab work too...Check out Tablo and Joey Bada$$'s track called Hood. Sorry for writing a book. Love your reactions!
