Been watching some older videos recently, and I thought it'd be cool to look at some events from years ago that I remember. Kind of still miss the Roblox forums, and the event was a pretty big deal at the time... but in hindsight, years later, the removal really hasn't affected anything. A lot of Roblox games just have Discord servers now. I was honestly expecting it to be a much bigger deal back then.

I think another reason why they didn't want the forums, it's because they simply didn't want any bad reviews and negative comments about the game it self, they want to attract more clients to make more money, but if there is any negative stuff people have access to, it will prevent clients from wanting to even get the game

This was completely on Roblox's part because Quackity's fans were spamming the forums asking to unban Quackity's account. Quackity said himself that they'd stop spamming if he got his account back, but the mods did not comply. They just banned a shit ton of users and shut down the forums. This just goes to show how absolutely mental Roblox can be. One of the mods even blocked Quackity on Twitter....niiiice.

Honestly, you read my mind. The Forums were not only a way of quick communications about certain topics, but we're necessary to getting answers to even the slightest problems (cough help and technical issues cough). It certainly shows how much they really care about their history and relation to their player base. It's hard to support them when they barely give us answers to our feedback. The removal of the Forums WAS bad because now there really aren't any good places to chat. The only other place I can think of that users can chat are groups, but those are constantly targeted by spambots, so they aren't a good option.

For those people who are still wondering why the forms got shut down, I will tell the reason why. A username that was named jaredpogi123kaba posted a forum that contained a website that included illegal child abuse, very very horrible child abuse. The post was up for a full 30 minutes, then taken down. A couple of days later is when Roblox announced the shutdown of the Roblox Forms.

The night before my spinal surgery in 2015, I went on Off Topic. I was worried that I was going to become paralysed or die from the surgery until I went on the forums and had a good laugh with other users, one of the highlights was a fanfiction I wrote about two users that was only taken down about fifteen minutes after it was posted. tbh i never used the forums but when i wanted to join em they were gone and i was playing rblx since 2014 and i say theforums but i dident understand the purpose of it so i dident use it until this year i found out the forums were gone
