This has exorcised many fears and myths that had and is still prevailing in our society as a whole. Ours being a tribal society many still holds to the animistic beliefs and cultural influences disregarding the scientific and medical progress made this far. We must lest understand that every problem in the human body is and can be treated medically and scientifically. This is in my opinion a oppurtune moment to redress such misunderstandings and have faith in the strides made in medicine and science.

No, it's not. It's just a disorder in which the nerve activity of the brain is affected. The notion of evil spirits relating to Epilepsy is just a misconception.

Not at all. If you take the patient to a doctor, its due to neurological disorder, in case of religion atma related kowo, and sadu khan ase koilie poisen by enemy inea kowo. Epilepsy is actually causes due to genetic dactor, head trauma, brain condition, infection disease, parental disease and developmental disorder. Its actually curable with the right medication. There are many people with this disorder but we tend to keep it low.
