I bought one well over a year ago and it had a Fishman pickup? I heard they discontinued those e Sonic pickups quite a few years back so I'm wondering why yours has one?

Ive recently acquired one of these guitars. I really like it so far. The neck needs a ver6 small adjustment, but i will get to that at some point.

I bought one these in a pawnshop, am very lucky the action is perfect and it fit the tone, sound I like one of the best of my guitars.

Hi mine was ok after some fettling, it might be the bridge saddle is too high. You can remove the saddle (the thin white strip on the bridge) by removing the strings or at least loosening them a lot, then gentle use of pliers to release it from the bridge. Reduce the height of the saddle by gently rubbing the underside on sand paper (lay the sand paper flat on a hard surface) and checking frequently until you have the desired string height. Its a bit hit and miss and will take a little patient effort, but not difficult at all. Tip - try to keep the saddle square / upright to avoid ending up with a chamfer. First though check that the neck is not bowing by looking along each side from the body towards the headstock. If its bowed then come back to me. I hope this helps, kind regards Michael

As a professional for 60 years, I understand when you talk about the setup of your sound, however I think that had you played the same chords for all the settings and then if you wanted to exhibit preferences for lead licks on the higher frets, with the different settings, that would have been more helpful. I know that when recording for videos, it is difficult to get a good and clean sound, I just felt that using the same chords for all the settings would have exhibited what one could expect from the guitar overall. Thanks for the good explanation of the functions of the electronic features as I was somewhat baffled by it upon trying to figure it out without a manual. Thanks again

So the SCE is the Super Jumbo Size, right? Cause there is a "studio" or Parlor or Coupe Version which I don´t fully understand but its a smaller one How can I know that its the Super Jumbo?

Hi as far as I understand (and this is purely my personal understanding, not to be relied on as absolute) SCE is referring to Single Cutaway Electric. EJ (Electric Jumbo) Jumbo as a general descriptor appears to apply to larger bodied rounded or curvy guitars often different in shape to a dreadnought (such as Gibson Hummingbird) which tends to be longer and less 'curvy' than say a Gibson J200 (Jumbo). 'Studio' as a label often refers to a guitar that is cosmetically more basic, as it is less likely to be played in a live setting where embellishments or other cosmetic adornments make the guitar more showy. Parlour guitars are very much smaller in body size. Coupe versions tend to be slightly smaller than regular size guitars. For example the 335 style and 339 electro acoustics (see my review on Epiphone 339 coupe). The 339 is sometimes referred to as 'coupe' for reasons that escape me, though it might relate to smaller sized (coupe) cars (and drinking glasses). I hope this helps in some way. I am aware of Epiphone EJ-200 series guitar. I've only heard about the EJ200CE and the EJ200SCE. But I came to know about EJ-200SC. I've never heard of this one neither can I find it online. Is that a fake or an original? Help would be appreciated!

The Epiphone EJ series refers to electric jumbo. SCE refers to single cutaway electric. They are very popular and there are lots for sale in UK. You will find them on many of the online selling sites. I hope this helps. Regards Michael

Hi Ian thanks for your message. The EJ is a good guitar and there are quite a few decent used ones on the market. In my experience they tend to have been little used and should be in good condition. As for string choice that's very much an individual preference. Heavier gauge will project well, though I tend to prefer 11 or 12 gauge for ease of playing. Brand is again difficult to recommend, though elixir are popular but pricier than others. Sorry I'm being vague, but as with all things it's often best to try a few options to discover what suits you best. Kind regards Michael

Hi thanks for your message. I used a different microphone on the video, which was not so good as on later videos when I used a different audio set up. Have a look at more recent videos which you will see have improved. Best wishes, Michael

It is likely the recording equipment. I went through various combinations before my current set up. Hopefully more recent videos are more natural. Best wishes Michael
