My Epiphone Les paul custom IGC.. has none of the issues that your has and is absolutely spot on with finishing.. Looks like you had an inferior one sent... You should have changed it for a better one.. Simple solution

Get tokai les paul. Two versions available, made in china and made in japan. Both are better than epi, plus they got real open book shape headstock.

The good old days of a really good Tokai are long gone.. They are very generic these days and have many issues themselves

The pickups are not wax potted! That's why they feed back ! They are better for on the edge of break up not heavy distortion!

These are not custombuckers, these are 490r and 498t and they are wax potted. These are gibson heavy rock pickups with a rather high output. Also, I've played cusombuckers on my rig before and they didn't feed back at all.

Which planet are you on man... 490R/498T pickups are always wax potted.. They are alnico 5 and alnico 3

@pauljohnson3686 not always!! I make my own humbucker pickups so I don't wax pot them ! So ... no there not always waxed potted!

The pickups are hotter that your Ibanez. Roll back the volume to 9.5.
