The QC is stellar. when you get in with the close shots you can see how crisp the paint & finish lines and bindings are. there are no visible defects that I can see up close. this is not so much with other bigger brands I've seen, which cost a lot more.. a whole lot more.

I’ve been buying Epiphone guitars for the past couple of months now and all of them were perfect. I am really impressed with Epiphones QC. There was only one Les Paul that I bought that had defects and this guitar wasn’t new it was a display model from the store. But aside from that great job to Epiphone building quality guitars

I seriously thought this was THE guitar but when I found out Epi has the 1959 with the Gibson pick ups. Man, I was sold!

I am into this guitar. Do you still reccomend buying this after a year?

Same question here.

This guitar was my very first LP Modern guitar. I love this guitar cause it’s so easy to change the strings with the locking tuners. And the fact that it has the cool feature of mimicking a single coiI! I sold it after owning it for a month or two because I wanted the Epi LP 1959 instead due to it having Gibson pick ups. Well, after a year and a half I bought the same guitar again (03/2024) and now it’s $200 dollars cheaper ($699). If you want a guitar that’s easy to change strings and has an ok way of mimicking a single coil with a pull of a tab, then yes it’s still worth it. I’m sure there are other guitars out there with the same features but it’s not an Epiphone and won’t have the Epi Probuckers. And it won’t have the color, which I love so much. Plus, if you’re into playing blues, the probuckers have a very muddy sound to it which made me love this guitar even more.

What type of Paint, Finish coat, and Fretboard construction??? Scarf joint???
@charliechamporado454 Жыл бұрын
Don’t really know what kind of paint Epiphone uses but man, it was a very nice color (Faded Pelham Blue) I think it looks so much better than the Gibson shade. The fret board is Ebony (hence the darker color) and the guitar body is finished with gloss but it looks so much like a satin finish IMHO. If I remember correctly I believe the neck is a scarf joint. I think i did notice where the two pieces met. If you really want some good info, check out “Troglys Guitar Show”. That’s my go to for a deep dive review. And “The Guitaristas”.

I have both a modern and a Lazarus, bought in the last year. The Modern was setup by sweetwater and was pretty good, tho it is a bit Fret Buzzy". It's out of box quality, I cant say because sweetwater did a setup. The Lazarus did not get a setup and had some odd things about it. One of the volume nobs fell off, the pickup switch was loose and not straight, the tail bar was also in need of adjustment. Comparing the 2, the Grover Tuners on the modern was ALOT better, the tuners on the Lazarus felt like they used card board as shims...the Grovers feel great. The Lazarus did not have the Fret Buzzing. The Fretboard of the Lazarus was very dry. End summation, I like both guitars!

Wow this is great thank you for sharing! I used to have an Epiphone Les Paul Standard 50’s Iced Tea and I loved it. Except the two tone knobs were very loose and kept falling off so easily. The tone switch was also loose. Very easy fix but it just annoyed me to the point where I just had to return it. And so enter the Les Paul Modern. This I am in love with.

I just ordered the Epi 1959 in Lemon Burst. I thought it was the famous “Lazarus” guitar by Epiphone but it turns out it’s just a standard 1959 that is a special release exclusively for Guitar Center. I thought I got lucky there haha.

@@charliechamporado454 The Lazarus does have a long neck tenon and a one piece neck. All the other Epiphones have scarf necks (since like 1985 I do believe).

Does anyone who bought the guitar know if there is any problem with the strings that need to be replaced every 2 months or some other problem with the electronic components
@charliechamporado45410 ай бұрын
For starters, I always change the strings that come with the guitar because I like to use a certain gauge and I don’t change every two months but maybe every year or when I snap a string. The electronics on this guitar works great. Are they the best? Probably not but they are definitely better electronics than cheaper guitars
