Arvanites were albanians from modern day Albania and Epirus who migranted to Attica and other parts of Greece. In the middle ages Albanians called themselves Arberor/arbreshe the slavs called us arbanski and the Greek called us Arvanites the Turks took the name from the Greek and called us as Arnauti. Arvanites weren't mixed until the creation of the greek state they marryed between each other, during the creation of the Greek state they were hellenized and assimiliated into the Greek nation. First of all Merigmos the Arvanites dont view themselves as Greek. Ask them they'll be insulted if you called them Albanian.
