Helpful hints for beginners! 1. Always use it at max rpm. 2. For any trees use the bucket on the roots for 5-10 minutes to weaken the tree, then put the bucket near all the way up on the tree and drive forward with the blade behind you. You can take down large trees with his technique. 3. Get yourself a grease gun and make sure every 10 hours of operating time you grease every point by the manual recommendation. Greasing will ensure your machine will still be tight after thousands of hours of operating. 4. Never cut trees with a chainsaw unless you're harvesting it after you've pushed it over, those stumps are too much to deal with. Cut the stump off after you push the tree over. 5. When tracking long distances rest the bucket on the blade so the machine isn't vibrating while you're just driving to a destination. 6. Get used to a pivot manuever to prolong the life of your tracks, if you put the bucket down at an angle and just turn on the left joystick, with the proper angle you should be able to turn the machine a full 360 degrees. You picked a amazing machine, kubota is a beast. And absolutely never turn off the DPF Regen Cycle if your machine has it as well, never ever lol Beautiful machine and have fun.

Great input. Thank you! I do have a grease gun and I greased it every time before using it. I heard the 10 hr before so it must be a good rule of thumb 👍🏼

@@LETowers you're very welcome, I have around 6k operating hours. You don't need as many hours to be as skilled if you have a decent teacher! Also when dozing with the blade, keep the arm all the way in and you looking 90° to what you're dozing. It works a little better with the arm out and about. Learning to do the pivot maneuver with feet and joysticks is incredibly important, it shortens the amount of time needed to turn in any direction. It'll also help you "become one with the machine", which means no wasted movement. It's awesome when you do get it, good luck man

I am getting ready to do the exact same thing only rent an excavator to clear land and grade a road to the top of the hill where the land is located on the southern tip of Izu Peninsula here in Japan.
