This is my first time ever to join a knit along. I have been knitting for a few years now and have been wanting to learn how to knit socks and colourwork. I can't believe I am finally joining a knit along! I watched last year but thought it was over my head. It probably is again this year, but I wanted to try. Don't laugh, but it took me an entire evening to figure out how to work on the needles and I got half the toe finished by midnight! I think I can do this. I am way behind, but I love trying this! I appreciate the closed captioning, so that if I am busy with other things I can easily read your discussion. I am a monthly supporter; nothing makes me more happy than watching your videos when things get rough!!! You guys are so creative! My son and daughter-in-law just had a baby girl in August, and you have no idea how excited I am to start a dollhouse for her, and your ideas for doll clothes (and furniture) are a ray of sunshine. Here in upstate New York, we have a lot of cloudy and cold days. Since the latest Presidential election it's going to get much more gloomy, however--just as during the pandemic--your videos are keeping my spirits up. I've put a trip to Norway on my bucket list, and am learning Norwegian on Duolingo as well. On a more personal note, I recently had both hips replaced after six years of agony, so I'm getting around a lot better and have nearly stopped taking pain meds. Cheers to Arne and Carlos!

Woo-hoo! Part 1 is done. Am making friends with DPNs at last, though the first rounds had to be done with throwing-I'm a continental knitter, but it just seemed easier, but then my hand automatically picked up the working yarn in the regular way and it was smooth sailing. My friend, Sonia, and I, enjoyed our first mystery knit along with you guys last year and we both LOVE our stockings!!!! It was SUCH fun and so easy to keep with to knit just a little bit each evening. This year, because of your Christmas ball ornaments book (just one out of the 10 you have published, that I now own and enjoy), I taught some of the ladies in my knit group to do the two color ornaments and we had a BLAST!!!! I wish there was a way I could show you all the beautiful ornaments we all knit!
