Episode #1: Vietnam War Museum "Army One"

The Army Historical Foundation interviews the Communications Director for The National Vietnam War Museum, scheduled to open in June 2022. Mr. Edward T. Luttenberger talks about the CH-34 helicopter in their collections that was part of the Eisenhower and Kennedy presidential fleet when it’s call sign was “Army One.”

I remember the Gamma Goats very well. Our 141st Signal Battalion C Company had a lot of them hauling communications equipment. Because of the noise of the engines, the company commander ordered that drivers and assistant drivers WOULD wear hearing protection or be faced with Article 15 action. (A little brutality goes a long way.)
