WELCOME to the very FIRST episode of the Unfiltered Artist podcast!!!! I wanted to start of the podcast with my journey as a makeup artist and my speed bumps along the way. I went into EVERYTHING from going to a 4-year college, working for Ulta and MAC, and then diving into being a freelance artist. Stay tuned till the end because I do share some of my personal oopsies as an artist when I first began.

This is wonderful! As a new aspiring makeup artist this podcast entered my life at the right time! I am planning for a career change as a teacher to do makeup. However I am not as good yet & get nervous. Thank you putting me at ease telling me your eyeliner was not crisp when you began. That's how mine comes out now on people. & man do I get discouraged. Oh that’s so great to hear! Career shifts are sometimes a little nerve wracking especially when you are doing something completely different. I’m so glad that you are following your passion :) It’s definitely intimating to see all the talented artists out there nowadays, but it’s important to remember that we all started off at square one! Makeup is purely a practice and experience thing. Even now I still have things that I struggle with and need to work on :)
