Episode 101 - Trailer Connector and Wire Repair 2001 F250

Welcome! In this episode I replace my damaged 7 and 4 pin connector and the wire harness behind it with a bit of a homebrew solution, as Ford wants waaaay too much money for the drop in OEM replacement. This video should be good for I believe 1999-2003 Ford F250's that have the factory 7 and 4 pin setup.

Great video!! I'm doing the same thing in going from the older style 7-way plug to the newer style 7 & 4 connector on MY L99 F350. I'm thinking of installing the bracket in the same place as the original was on the bumper and using spacers on the bolts to get it low enough to clear the edge of the bumper. I have the universal brackets that sort of clamp onto the hitch but they just aren't going to work.....I'll keep you posted....

@@MazdaB3K Will do. I have a brand new aftermarket '99-'07 bumper and just want to have the newer style plug connector.
