@@playrunner-z6679 I've only watched the reboot series up to ep 15 something like that. At ep 15, all these world class cardfighters have been introduced. Aichi who has only started playing was giving leon a run for his money. Where as in the original series, we went through everything. From how the team was formed, the regionals, nationals, asia circuit. All that while introducing the characters slowly but surely. They also had a couple of minor character appearances with their own unique decks that come in every now and then. Like Daigo, the underground cardfight king, the galahad guy just to spice things up. That said, this is just how I feel after watching 15 eps of the reboot. I just feel like new viewers who don't know about the original series are missing out on a couple of interesting details and vibes from the original series.

To be fair, most of the cardfighters would ride to the next grade and attack and until one of them got to Grade 3, so they felt like fans would get bored of seeing the same actions repeated every single game

The sad think here is that Kai could have won. And I'm not talking about when he gave both triggers to a rearguard. When Kai attached with "The Blood" Leon's hand had only grade 3's. If Kai had attacked with Dusty Plasma Dragon first, and then with Garuda, he would have won.

Not to mention that on the last turn, Kai stopped Dusty Plasma from dying, but he should've just let it through. Maelstrom didn't have a boost so it couldn't hit the Blood because of crossride. He would've survived the drive check and made it to the next turn with no front row rear guards, but the blood would've been strong enough to get past Leon's one guard.

The reason he protected dusty plasma was because he knew he wouldn't be able to use Desert Gunner Raien to guard against Maelstrom.

Yeah, after checking through it again and thinking about it, he would've lost that turn regardless because if he lost both intercepts, he still wouldn't have enough shield to block Glory maelstrom, and his perfect guard was useless. Also, you're right about having two grade threes because on his last twin drive he had two grade threes and ended up with four cards in his hand, meaning the other two were the shields he used. So if he attacked with dusty Plasma then Garuda, Leon wouldn't have enough to block. The top card off his deck after the heal had to have been glory maelstrom, so he wouldn't have gotten two heels in a row.

42:30 in this scene there was some mistakes When he use LB4 of blond azal he used 2 counter blast and he after that had another 2 counter blast and when he used blaster blade spirit skill he had again 3 next counter blast and when he attack with sagramore he had only 15 000 power and maelstrom had 16 000 power so he must used sagramore 1 counter blast to get another 3 000 power boost so he shouldn't have enough counter blast for the LB5 of Platina azal even with that heal trigger plus when blaster blade spirit attack on Supreme Maelstrom his skill should send him into to drop zone and it didn't happend. If there was any mistake in grammar sorry for that my english is bad.

I think Aichi just got a trigger right after he attacked with Ezel, it’s just that the episode simply didn’t show his drive check. If he didn’t get a trigger before that, it would have been unnecessary for Leon to have guarded with a 10000 shield. I do agree, though, with the animation errors that appeared in this fight. It really was strange that they gave Aichi an extra face down damage card at a previous instance.

Vermilion The Blood was at 24000 Maelstrom was at 11000, aided by two guards of 10000 each, bringing him up to 31000 If The Blood got both Triggers applied to it, it would have broken through the defenses and hit Maelstrom at 3x Critical, more or less winning the game against Leon. @13:47 Leon realizes what a bullet he dodged when he saw that second trigger. Because he got lucky with the Heal Trigger. Had he needed to check a third time, he wouldn't have gotten a second Heal Trigger. But Kai's not meant to win this, sad to say. He's never been the one to win this. He's always the opening act, never the main event, unless he's the antagonist.

@Christopher Savage I think when the show started in season 1 Phantom Blaster Dragon was more his "avatar", which would be a counter part to Kai and Dragonic Overlord, but as the show progresses the writers and creators of the TCG wanted a blaster blade and blaster Dark rivalry so they had Blaster Dark go with Ren. I always thought that Kai and Ren having Dragon "avatars" fit with there characters and set them apart from Aichi who used the knights, I would have loved to see a Blaster Dark Liberator, and all the cards that used Blaster Blade Liberator would also work with Blaster Dark Liberator but I get keeping Blaster Dark with the Shadow Paladins, I just don't get why the writers went hard with Blaster Dark be Ren's "avatar"

I still remember 11 years ago when The Blood was worth more, I borrowed a deck in a tournament, then rode The Blood, activated LB5 which my opponent protected his Vanguard with enough to make me need 2 triggers plus he told me he had enough shield in hand to protect him from my last rear guard so I drive check "First card critical trigger both effects to The Blood, and the 2nd check another critical trigger both effects to The Blood meaning I've broken through" and he needed to pull all 3 of his remaining heal triggers back to back which he didn't then next week his friend told me that his words when he called him was that I destroyed him
