Spunj thinking the elo system only applies to North America is very off. It applies to all smaller regional events. For example: NIP usually attends some smaller Swedish event every year. When they do that it props up the local scene. Now they they would never in a millions years waste a potential rmr slot going to that event. Another example: leta say you are m80 and you have enough points to get to the major and lets say the major is in 2 months. What they should do is not play any events, not get any official practice in and just get that major money in 2 months, which is what the org will say the should do. Flyquest will also never play any ranked australian events

The skill with smoke shouldnt be to hit the right timing. The skill is planning an attack around it and producing protocols to work around them. This lowers the skill level to hitting the right timing. Making it more individual based rather than a team thing. I think removing the binds for jump throws just lowers the skill level

They just need to add a second "window" for running jump throws Like there is the window to jump throw if you release the throw at the top of the jump? They just need to add one that checks for +w after checking if the throw is a jump throw. (You would hit -fire and +w at the same time in the jump) Then all jump throws would be consistent Walking jumpthrows and crouching jumpthrows would be consistent too

Pls send me a Heinrich Müller chair ❤ Nice podcast boiz! As always. I really think the new system using the Valve ranking is pretty good for the tier 1 and strong regions. For smaller regions it completly sucks.. in which regional tournaments can strong teams play? Not only in NA but also for teams like the Mongolz or some upcoming team in Oceania etc

I feel like the rest of Navi's players have strong mental game, despite natural ups and downs - but w0nderful never shows confidence in any of his interviews or behind the scenes. It makes me wonder if despite his obvious natural talent, he can stay on a team that wants to persevere through the pressure of finals to win championships. His underperformance looked way different than b1ts.

@@abigchair wOnderful will clock 1 year on NaVi in October. The kid went from an academy to Sprout and then to NaVi and somehow they fluked themselves to a Major and now everybody looks at him like he's ZywOo. Give him grace, he had zilch experience in Tier 1 before this and he has a lot of learning to do before he becomes the player y'all want him to be. NaVi winning the major and being the best team in the world doesn't erase natural progression. b1t wasn't the player he is today in 2021. He will get better with time and that confidence will increase naturally.

@@peepopoo4387 my bad. I confused him with Artfr0st when I said academy because Artfr0st was in Spirit Academy. But still, w0nderful is a much better player now than he was 1 year ago when Spirit kicked him. You've got to give these players time to grow. Imagine if MOUZ kicked xertioN because of stage nerves.
