i would tell him to slow down to go faster......example: i worked in a factory doing piece work where you get paid by the piece......every once in a while they would time a person to see if they need to readjust the price per piece for that certain job......well they timed me one time and i said to myself, just go slow dont go fast .......i ended up making it so they lowered the price per piece payout and when the first shift came in they were pissed at me for making it get a lower price when in reality i thought i was going slow to make the price go up per piece made......i hope that helps.....maybe race thinking you have to go slower to get paid more?
