I was just up at Fraser flat last weekend and the river is high and fast. No fish.

Yup, I was there yesterday and June ‘23 was the same story. Maybe by August it will be fishable.

That was surprising your were getting them in the open shallow water in the beginning (like you said).

I imagine those are the fish that get picked off by eagles and other birds of prey

Just got back from a trip up 108. Fished from Fraser Flat to Clark's Fork. Those fish are in the middle of the pool because they are planters and don't know better. Wild fish will not likely be found there unless there are insects hatching. I tend to prefer to fish the weeks the DFW are not planting because there are fewer people but then I'm in the water using flys with a Tenkara rod.

There are a few places that get planted on the Tuolumne canals by DFW. This location is on South Fork Road near Twain Harte. Google Tuolumne Ditch Access. Leave some for me.
