Episode 12 - 1990 - Erzgebirge Motorcycle Museum Part 1

I know it all. ;-) The name of this Museum is "Motorradmuseum im Schloss Augustusburg", and its located in the castle "Schloss Augustusburg", where you find also some other interesting Museums! Its still open today, and a really nice place to visit. Its the same place/castle like in episode 13 and 15, about 16 miles in the north north of Annaberg and around 8 miles in the east of Chemnitz. - The thing with the "Marx Head" is a special thing. Most things from GDR have been deleted after 1989 in the whole country. Streets and towns renamed and monuments removed. The "Marx Head" is also a monument from GDR time, Marx was never been in this town. But on the one side Chemnitz was an old worker town, a lot of worker class inside, this is the reason i think they do more identify with Karl Marx, as for example a town like Dresden. Otherwise on the other side this monument is very famous, its a known part of Chemnitz, and this is the biggest reason they decide to not destroy it. They did also use the monument in the 90s for marketing.
