We’re throwing Kastmaters, and Jerk Minnows, and catching brown trout, coho, and steelhead.

You have had some fantastic action on your 3 recent L. Mi. shows and I've enjoyed them all. I have to say I always watch your show and wonder - will John ever change his lure? Does it sting at all to get crushed weekly? My suggestion is that you re-read your contract with sponsor Acme Tackle. Surely it doesn't say specifically "John has to fish a Kalin jerk minnow exclusively even if other lures in our product line are working better while filming a show."

Amazing fishery! I bet a Panoptix screen view there would look like a carnival between all the bait and fish! Funny how what's old becomes new...Heddon made the Sonar blade bait which goes back to 1959! It's virtually identical to any modern blade type lure.

Great fishing out there! I do wonder genuinely how much to believe this new scare about freshwater fish and PFAS or industrial contamination, considering lake Michigan’s so vast and deep. If I could reel em in like this I’d save so much in store bought fish every year. Is it crazy to switch to farm grown as a preference free of dioxin or other contaminants? Cheers. Keep up the great and informative show!
