Did anyone notice that the shadowy-red aura surrounding The Masques units is the same color as the Reverse units?

Very true in fact I would say there almost the same do to the meaning both have.

Reverse units twist normal desires into something darker which explains the personality traits that over exaggerates the desires they have until it becomes obsessive. Masque units on the other hand hides their desire behind a mask restraining themselves going so far as to even deny their originality in play style. This causes a silent and hollow victory in their hearts but because of their mask they can’t recognize it or rather they deny it because they want to be stronger making it a obsession.

This is over a year old so I don’t expect anyone to read this but does anyone else personally add more context to this series to make it more fun. Like they hinted at Michiru being sick but I feel like they could have shown it more. Shown us more of a sick kid who couldn’t do much besides vanguard a way for him to escape and connect with others. As who grew older and better at vanguard he slowly got better, but in his years now he’s begun relapsing. When given the opportunity for a virtual world where his body no longer serves as a limit to him he understands the issues of the uniformers but can’t help it since it’s everything he’s ever wanted. A space where he can play vanguard to no end with his body and condition not playing a factor. That’s how I personally look at michiru.

Seriously hope for more card manifestations in the future. It's not like yugioh copyrighted that mechanic lol. I feel like it's VERY necessary for a card game anime 😂😂😂

There's irony in Michiru saying vanguard's future is boring thanks to the uniformers when everyone in his time plays a nation based deck (not much diversity there). If they were playing clan based decks (which offers more diveristy), then that comment would bare a little more weight in my eyes

I don't think having clans really means diversity, for many waves of support most part of the clans back then just recycle olders skills adding a little more power and restricting a little more the use, special-counterblast, Legion, LB, GB... At least with this format they release new decks with an original playstyle, while older decks gets some supports even in a indirect way, everthing was always so discardable and some clans so overpower...

I think Michiru was talking about the meta deck. Whenever something is going meta everybody is starting playing that deck. No individual style. When the meta chenges everyone is changing to that deck etc. it's a closed circle. People rather win with what is the best than try to win with a deck and style that suits them.

lol, switching to nations has given us MORE diversity, not less. we dont have 26 clans fighting for the 5 or 6 slots in each set anymore, and we dont have 1-3 of those slots being taken up by the main character clans anymore. Remember when G era was a thing and they had to shove Gear Chronicle into literally all but 2 main sets? pepperidge farm remembers. each nation has about as many decks as their predecessor clans had back in the old days, with a few of them being the encounter decks for nostalgia bait, by and large, every clan is being represented either fully or close enough now.
