Growing up in the United States my mom had a kitchen tool resembling your almond grinder except it was a cheese grater. I like your idea better as I love Norwegian almond cake made in the long ribbed cake pan! I have a Norwegian daughter-in-law who keeps me equipped with lovely Norwegian recipes and necessary tools. I am enjoying every moment knitting the stocking and I am making it for my husband of 54 years. I think I might make one for my self. All these years we have never had a stocking. The children had stockings but we never got round to having one. I can not thank you enough for the inspiration for to knit the stocking. I must congratulate you on the 10 books you have published.x

Oh my, 54 years. Congratulations ! I made stockings for Dan and I on our first Christmas together while he was out to sea. He came home Christmas Eve 1990 to find Red and White Fuzzy stockings hung above the pottbelly stove.

I’ve learned a number of lessons 1. Don’t drop stitches, 2. Concentrate and 3. Start on day 1. I’m loving it.

I totally agree, I have just caught up to day 9 and printing the next part of the pattern. So far I have dropped stitches found I have been too tight with the yarn floats, and confused the colours😅 However what a treat it’s looking fabulous. I have never done something so intricate 🎉

Colourwork is beautiful and your sock is gorgeous now and it isn't even finished. Nicely designed. 10 books published. We have lots of candles and use those from october on and it is nice to have xmas lights too from after december 5th , because first we celebrate St Nicolaas, on that day , a children's festival
