I cannot tell you how perfectly you capture the feeling of those mountains. Whoever wrote this is a native of Appalachia, there can be no doubt of that. He or she had to have spent time in the deep woods. I love this podcast!❤

While I've never been to that beautiful area yet, I live in the Rockies in the west coast of Turtle Island, and I can definitely relate to these stores 😅

Wait what kind of monster is The Dead Queen , like what the hell kind of unholy abomination is she that she is capable of scaring not only The Green but the servants of the Inner Dark as well?!?! And for that matter what kind of absolute terror must be the thing that created her?!?! Oh my goodness this is so terrifying and fantastic!!!!

Hey... Now that you've said it, I do too! I don't know if it would ever happen? But that is truly an inspired idea! I know I'd watch the (Literal? Probably) Hell, out of It, for sure! And now---Sorry for the length, everyone! But, I'm feeling the call to Testify: I just LOVE this show! It fills me up with dread, keeps me up at night! But it also warms my heart right up. Witch's~brew and chicken soup. It's...magical. I'm from Pennsylvania, by the way---And I'm sending my love from that part of Penn's Woods. Which (if anyone was at all unaware), Proudly IS---In Fact: True, absolute, undeniable!---A part~and~parcel of That brightly shining Soul. That so dark so deep so secret Heart; of Appalachia. And Steve Shell? Brother Shell; You do know how to tell a story---Yes, you surely do! With the kind and good heart of a doting Grandfather; As well as the chiding, commanding voice of a 'FIRE! & BRIMSTONE!' Pastor. And as I think we've all come to know? With something that might be close kin to the soft, cool, near~lulling yet hackles~raising sound of the whetstone's whisper, as Death sharpens again that old, old sickle... Damn boy! Ya'll done good... I'm so grateful to you, and to Ms. Cam Collins, and to absolutely everyone who's lent any sort of hand to bring this blessed, blood~covered child into the World, bearing joy in It's tiny right hand and terror in It's left...claw. Thanks for making this whole year better, already!

KZbin is not our primary home as we are an award winning audio podcast. Most folks listen to us on Spotify, Apple Podcasts or wherever. We pretty much only keep a KZbin Channel for livestreams and making sure no one is trying to put our stuff up without our permission. We are still an active production and just launched Season 3.

This is the most visually stunning audio I have ever seen. I was raised in rual south Lousiana, which I don't know if you realize. But it's not in the Appalachian Mountains. I know swamps, and adjacent woods. Which again, is not these hollers. None the less, i feel like I've spent the night watching this. Very impressive work my friends Edit. The choice of music has been dead on. Lead Belly's "Where did you sleep last night", is one of my all time favorite songs, by my favorite blues artist of all time. Also during the sacrifice in the church, you played a very haunting rendition of "Are you washed in the blood". Until I was 17 i went to at least 3 Pentecostal church services a week in our small community. Of course that doesn't count prayer meetings, choir/band practice, and the old school Pentecostal revivals. The latter of which was 7 days a week of fire and brimstone from a traveling evangelist. (Sorry I got lost in old memories for a minute there.) All that to give a hint on the feelings and memories that old gospel hymn evoked in me last night. Those two were just the highlights, all the music choices so far have been brilliant. Sorry for this absolute novel. I have tried to put my feelings into a comment at least 5 times since last night. Every time my words seem insufficient, in comparison to the images, emotions, and joy this project has brought into my night.

Aside from awesome and great places to touch old earth and mother nature is still raw and powerful, it feels the similar because of the Celtic influence, the great Celtic diaspora. Those in Appalachia also moved into MO, AR and TX. The Ozarks feel very similar. Lots of Irish immigrated into New Orleans.

In the South we pronounce words differently...Tom was skinned alive, but we add a T to the word & it comes out skint...
